Opinions About Asking for Bonuses within 24 Hours of Deposit
So.....maybe I'm the A-hole here...but most of the reputable books let you claim a bonus within 24 hours of your initial deposit...I'm not going to name the specific book that I had a weird customer service experience with because they ultimately granted my request, but I thought that they had treated me with almost disgust after I had made my request.

Even when I make certain requests at Bookmaker, for example, they always treat me professionally, even if they ultimately can't grant my request....what do you guys think of this?

    See below:

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are now chatting with 'D'
    D: Hello and welcome
D: How may I help you?
Me: Hello D - I was hoping to speak with my account manager. Is he in currently?
    D: Sure, one moment please
Please wait while I transfer the chat to 'J'.
You are now chatting with 'J'
    J: hello
Me: Hey J -- How are you....I was speaking with R earlier...maybe he can fill you in. But I made a deposit yesterday and I had meant to ask for the 100% bonus with 8X rollover advertised on your site, and I forgot to do so as I was running out the door....can you still grant me that bonus? I have been a good customer now for some time....I would greatly appreciate it.
J: but you ask for no bonus when you were on chat
J: and now you want it
J: unfortunately i cannot do anything since it was yesterdqy
J: if you would have call in last night we could have maybe done somethin
J: but unfortunately there is a chat transcript of you not wanting the bonus
Me: I'm sorry? I never said that I didn't want a bonus and no one had asked me...I thought that as long as it was within 24 hours like most other books.
Me: Can I see the transcript?
    J: let me check
J: looks like you are right.....i will put this in for you..but make sure next time this doesnt happen again
Me: No problem....I really appreciate it.

Simple way of making sure it doesn't happen again is to not give them business. Another ****ing retard account manager.

Your company is offering these bonus to bring in customers, you make us jump through hoops to get fetch the bone, we take our business else where.

Thanks, dude...I completely agree. NO more deposits with this specific book anymore...

Also, it clearly states on their website the following, so not sure why he made me feel like a jerk for asking...I definitely made the request within 24 hours:

Promotional offerings are not credited automatically into any account; customers must request their bonus by contacting Customer Service within 24 hours of having made their deposit.

Know the book, know the reps mentioned by initial. Unless you're not eligible for a bonus at the time, it seems only natural for them to ask if you want one when you make a deposit.

I like most of the reps in that book and that family of books, but it's safe to say that there are a couple I could do without.

if "J" was in a bad mood, he shouldn't take it out on his customers, especially when he's an account manager. the OP was very reasonable about the request, the account manager wasn't. Very unprofessional.

Yes I see it says 24 hours but sometimes people use this to their advantage. For example you may see a pattern of someone who always takes a bonus, not take the bonus to begin with, they hit some quick games or casino hands, then won't take the bonus to bog them down with a rollover.

Then others deposit, play some stuff, see how they do. When they are almost bust, they'll ask for the bonus.

I could see both sides of the story. If it does say 24 hours, it is 24 hours. If the books think you are using this rules for an advantage, they may revoke that rule for you. Just my 2 cents.

I was guessing betphoenix as well. Some of these books have very little business sense. They would rather look bad and fight with a customer then give a bonus which the customer deserves. They seem petty when they argue about 24 hours.

Depends on the book, my thoughts would be it's certainly reasonable if no wager was placed before requesting the bonus.

                      - now if a wager was placed, different story. You say you didn't have time to request previous, so no chat or email request made, but had time to wager ?! If the wager amount was to win under 25% of the balance it's a no brainer still, clearly not trying to take advantage of an easy win with no RO. Over that it's totally up to the shop. Ultimately it was done and you have no reason to be upset if this was the case.

Brings up one of my pet peeves, customers who tell people how loyal they have been. Good mgmt doesn't need reminded, and you should avoid shops with bad mgmt at all cost. If they don't do the right thing, don't bitch, just walk..if you were that important they will contact you and make it right. Don't complain because you feel your not getting an exception you want, just lowers your value in the future.
