Another "bodog stole my money" thread
I searched a bit and couldn't find this specific issue, in case its been discussed, I apologize dearly.
But what will make this thread different?
It will contain a small portion of information to anyone who is betting or will bet at Bodog.

So I signed up at bodog in order to kill a couple of hours when I'm at work, thing with our company's network is, that they re-route all traffic to a place in the US(Im located in europe) in order to gain the massive amounts of IP addresses they need.

This changes my whois info and it will differ from my location of course.
This proved to be a big problem at bodog as they kicked me straight out of there. Apparently you can only gamble within the limits of your address otherwise you're in for a shitstorm without an ending it seems.

So keep that in mind in case you wanna travel, or even if you're connected to a network you don't know 100%.

But I called them and after 10minutes of that creole I finally found out that I had to submit a copy of drivers license, passport and proof of address in order to even be considered taken back.

Since I have a feeling more problems will arise with this sportsbook (after a bit of searching which clearly should have been done before registering), I asked if they could donate my balance to WFP or any other charitable organization. But this was a very strict No, but I guess somethings has to pay all those servants at their "compounds".

    Tklt,

If things are as you lay out - why not submit the ID documents to prove that it was you placing the bets and that your account is actually being controlled in Europe versus the States? You'd likely need to verify your identity anyway prior to requesting a withdrawal.

Had you placed any bets any bets with Bodog yet or not? They'll refund your deposit and all winnings will be paid if you can verify your identity.

This is purely a security measure- if you'd like to PM me your account number I'll be happy to speak with a senior CS manager on your behalf, or you can simply give CS a call, it is up to you!

      Thank you,
      Becky

Reason is, I'm not a big time gambler and for that small amount, it isn't worth it to track down a scanner and do that work, also I don't know what proof of address even is.

Yeah I've made some bets and played some poker but no winnings.

What do you mean ANOTHER thread about Bodog stealing someone's money? 1. They didn't steal yours. 2. They don't have a history of stealing money.

Bodog has it's faults, but it's a rec book. However, they aren't in the habit of stealing money from players.

That's strange, only other european sportsbook I've bet at is Expekt.
They didn't mind if I made bets from the US, Panama, Asia or southern Europe.
They don't need any proof of anything when withdrawing, they shut it and pay.

Their action is a bit bleak but they haven't got this side action income that bodog has.
