    Sportsbook.ag Down

Says planned maintenance. Is this true - was there a warning?

No way it was a planned maintenance. Certainly facing problems if it's been down 24 hours now.

Still down. No updates on their twitter feed. I just sent CS an email. I'll let everyone know what they say if they reply to me before the site is back up.

Their poker software says they are offline for scheduled maintenance and apologize for any inconvenience caused.

We expect to be back online in approximately 13 hours and 40 mins (midnight EST)

Apparently it's been down for 48 hours and people are fearing its shut down for good. Darren Rovell tweeted about it earlier.

I was paid by them on Friday. It would be weird for them to pay last week if they were shutting down for good

The issue is they went down early yesterday with a server error and eventually changed the landing screen to the maintenance message.

It was clearly unplanned. That said, it doesn't mean it's not truly a technical issue.

They have updated their website saying they apologize for maintenance taking much longer than expected.

Per industry source. @Sportsbook_com (https://t.co/x2bL6YdSGf) dealing with DDOS attack (as many others have, very common). Funds and customer data are safe, working to get back online. They’re not going anywhere.

    According to JoeyKnish on twitter

Possibly a competitor doing it or someone with a group they haven't paid? Anyone's guess. Hope they get back on their feet. Their 30% reload bonuses even if you're up with them are awesome.

I was actually paid Monday afternoon (as in two days ago) and twitter poster JoeyKnish, who's often knowledgeable on these things, says they're OK.

On the other hand, since payouts always take about 8 days, maybe that system was on 'autopilot' or something and didn't get yanked till Monday night. And, as others have pointed out, sb.ag normally warns ahead of maintenance down time. In addition, if it's a DDOS attack, why not say so in the message they've posted on their site?

    I dk, I hope I'm wrong, but my guess is it's a toss-up leaning exit scam's way.

We've seen this before with a zillion DW marketplaces and it almost never turns out OK.

If it's just DDOS, why not let everyone know via Reddit or Twitter? Reddit and Twitter aren't under DDOS attacks.

Who knows. But when BetOnline was being DDOS attacked they didn't disclose it for a few days either. I think Bovada also had issues like this that went on for a long time, too.

AFAIK they have not taken cards in a very very long time. Years?

Not sure how you had deposited recently with credit card. I haven't had any option other than bitcoin since like maybe 2019. Possibly even longer.

Must be for just you? I was just doing credit card deposits last week during March madness tourney.... I've never been blocked from credit card deposit

A very bad sign for a book that only rarely offers bonuses (and never to you or me).

Not sure what you mean. Everyone gets 20% and 30% weekly with bitcoin.
Ive never lost bonuses. They offer more bonuses than any site period and have for as long as I can remember.

I agree the 50% offers is a bad look if they were going to pull an exit scam. But why would they be paying players up until Monday. I got paid Friday and Ive seen reports that players were paid Monday. Youd imagine a book going to close wouldnt pay so recently.

My balance is the lowest its been in a very long time. Id hate to lose them as an out way more than not being paid, though.

I have no information other than what JoeyKnish claims. But Id consider him a very reputable source.

I did get paid last week as well, which makes me comfortable with the situation. Been a player there since 2002, through all the shit with payout issues and the like, but they always pay out in the end. Doubt a book that has been around 25 years just up and leaves during the middle of march madness.

Eventually, you would've been disqualified from all promotions, including bonuses. The annoying part is the ads for the bonuses continue to appear so you think, "ah, maybe they've cooled out," but then you slap in a deposit with a bonus code and get nothing.

To be fair, sb.ag's been dying for a long time. They haven't taken new players in years and for the last two football seasons they haven't even run their own props (except a few standard game props). They've just been cloning the prop box half the books have.

My guess is it was former sb.ag props guys who formed the group "PropKingz" and designed that box. Anyway, the lines certainly feel like them.

Good work. I give myself an F for allowing $12k to sit in a book I know to be dying this long after the Super Bowl.

Happy News: as of this typing, sportsbook.ag appears to be back on its way to full functionality, so it looks like it really was just a glitch.

Nobody who reads this will know me cuz I haven't posted recently -- BTW, great to see Optional's still running the site, now there's an A+++ dude -- but I'm procrastinating.

OK, so unless things have changed dramatically since my day, honesty demands I admit a somewhat uncomfortable fact: JJ Gold, you were right, my friend, and I was dead wrong.

Some sports are up, others not, and I couldn't get it to take a bet, but it really does look like it's on its way back to full functionality. Best of luck to all!!!

Glad to hear. I’d feel a tad bit more comfy reloading their if they could drop their payout timeframe, especially since it’s just bitcoin, from 7 business days to 24-48 hours like BetNow.

That was a book with a different untarnished background than sportsbook.ag. It was and is a joke but nice bonus so I’ll dabble $100 now and then with it. But damn some people have thousands in their account with them. Don’t know why.
