Years ago when I was very new to betting, I followed I-AA football pretty closely and did well for a bit at 5Dimes. The limits were only $200 I think so it wasn't like I killed them. After my limits were reduced even lower, I made the mistake of calling to ask if I could get my old limits back and was cursed at by Tony for "beating him on his ****ing lines."

how is it that one book can be spoken about so poorly and so highly all at once?

That's generally how feedback goes with popular organizations. Those with bad experiences will assume that no one could possibly have a good experience, and those with good experiences don't understand all the negative criticism.

The better barometer to use in determining the quality of a sportsbook is payouts. There are no slow-pay or no-pay reports against 5Dimes by players that we've received. If anyone has one, submit a sportsbook complaint.

Whilst payouts are of course critical, playing at the A rated books one is entitled to accept that as a given.

But for those who are more than just small time "recreational" players, the ability to be able to get your money on at good odds is the real determinant of the quality of a sportsbook and on that score 5Dimes just doesn't rate.

i think the biggest complaint is with service. although it is hard to catch them in a lie, they often omit info when signing up and depositing.

for example, they got a lot of people on signup, who took a free play bonus and "failed to tell them" that they would be limited to $50 reduced juice limits. i stiil have not been able to find where it says this on their site, and no one fron c/serv can either.

definitely get everything in writing via email with this book upon signup. they are often adversarial.

Never had a problem with them, but I am not a high stakes player. Love their -105 overnight bases lines and reduced vig on most everything else.
