BFC and Sister Books on the Decline?
saw this over at another sportsbook news site:
April 20, 2010 BetFirstClass, Lines2Bet, and Lay104 Problems. Live chat hasn't worked in weeks for these sites. Also, the odds pages on Lay104 display errors for every result. This is showing obvious neglect from the new management/ownership group of parent company BetFirstClass. BFC and it's sister books are all downgraded to D+ as a result. Stay tuned..

Let's see, since April 1st, I have taken over the business, moved my home from Panama to San Jose, moved the business into new office space, had a new phone system and two separate internet services installed, integrated new wagering, affiliate and pay per head software into the BetFirstClass website and the reviewer wants to focus on live chat.

You can't please everyone, I guess.

So the sign of a solid shop is now their live chat availability ?!? By that mark Jamaica is a d most days..

Played with them before Judge took over, and yes there were customer service issues in the past. That said, anytime I needed a response, contacted judge and was answered ASAP.

To me the best shops are those that pay reliably, and BFC has a history of that. Judge is well respected on these forums and rightfully so. My suggestion is don't be too quick to dismiss these guys.

I actually meant to try these guys out small for bases after hearing of the changes, will contact them today.

I think what they were saying is that when simple things like the 'live odds' and 'live chat' start failing, it may be a marker of things to come. I am sure it is a tumultuous time in this companies existence with all that is going on. We all understand that. Even the worst of failures started with the best of intentions..

Agree, but these are old issues too...need to give current management a chance before calling their downfall.

Judge said it best, you can't please everyone. They have their market niche and cater to them well it appears. How many people do you hear complaining about them compared to other shops on here?

Hell, I see people complaining about the best of shops..the fact there are no recent BFC complaints speaks volumes. They are who they are, and do their job well. Most of their clients aren't big chat users I am guessing.

All the best Judge !!! I know Judge for about 10 years from the other forum.
You can trust him .The guy is straight forward he will tell you the way it is .If you have any problems he will personally answer you calls or emails.
                BFC
could of close their doors with a perfect excuse not to pay .And then reopen with a new name and ownership . Few other books pooled this trick and kept players funds .As long as Judge runs this book you are safe .

                  Hi Judge,

BFC has done a lot in a short time. Good job so far. How are these tech things coming along?

I think most players don't give that site much credit. There isn't a feature on it's homepage that wasn't stolen.

                      BetFirstClass slow-pay reported
A BetFirstClass (SBR rating D) slow-pay complaint has been reported. Three weeks ago a player requested $2472 by Western Union. The player states he has been unable to reach any BetFirstClass manager via telephone or live chat to discuss his payout status.

I am unaware of this supposed slow pay and no one from SBR has contacted our office to ask about it. I am surprised that SBR would post this without first attempting to verify the "complaint".

Regarding the rest of the responses in this thread, they are appreciated.

I just don't get it. You got the Bill guy from SBR in here blowing The Judge guy and then turn around the same day and post this report. Does the right hand know what the left is doing? Is BFC safe to bet at or not? I think it all seems a bit shady to me.

Bill, care to clarify the following:

"I think most players don't give that site much credit. There isn't a feature on it's homepage that wasn't stolen."

Are you saying they arent original, or saying they stiffed someone for the web design work ?

If the former..why ? How many sportsbooks do you list...and how many feature scantily clad women in their ad's..BFC aint the only one. IF the latter, that's a big issue..

I think Bill is referring to the website where the review was posted, not BFC's website.

I meant Sportsbook Advisor. It's a copy paste of SBR with the owner pretending to be a poster.

I worked that Western Union slow pay issue. Judge worked hard to get it resolved. The player seemed to be losing Judge's/BFC emails in his spam filter. As Judge was ccing me on them, but the player kept complaining. That and some language issues contributed to the issue.

I can't speak to the book in general. But just wanted to provide some context to the complaint since it was brought up.

Why does it take a message board to get a player paid The Judge. This player has been waiting for a payout for 3 weeks.

After following up with BetFirstClass, it appears the player was e-mailed the ** instructions two weeks ago. We've followed up to confirm with the player and will update the report with what contributed to the delay after the player reports payment.
