Warning scam: Tipbet invents new rules for old bonuses so they can take your money

A big warning for bookmaker Tipbet. My previous experiences with them were very good, reliable and fast withdrawals.

However things turned out the other way as the shit has hit the fan. They offered a bonus to customers about a month ago where you received a € 250 bonus if you deposited € 500. I don't know the reason, perhaps they saw people were a bit winning too much, anyway the decided to make a new rule last week.

    24. The winning limit for any Sportsbook bonus is set at 2.000€. For any Casino bonus, the corresponding winning limit is set at 4.000€. In case any bonus has different withdrawal limits, this will be clearly stated in the corresponding bonus Terms & Conditions. In such cases, the specific limits shall prevail.

Of course a bookmaker is allowed to make new rules, however they decided that this also applies to older bonuses that haven't been rolled over or withdrawn yet. So at the moment I requested the withdrawal of my balance of € 2.885 I received only € 2.000 and they just confiscated the remainder! I know others are also affected by this new rule and lost money which is utterly injustice. You always accept the terms & conditions that apply at that specific moment and you just can't make up new rules and take money from people pointing at the new rules.

As proof the old bonus rules can still be found
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https://www.tipbet.com/en/bonus-terms where nothing regarding a winning limit is mentioned. I and other people already complained at Tipbet themselves but they just say that they have new bonus rules and are allowed to do this. I can't believe this is legitimate and already filled a complaint here at SBR.

So a big no go there anymore as you might see a decent bonus offer but they are unreliable as they might just alter the rules and screw you up.

Thank you! I made my deposit the 7th of November, really wonder what actions else I can undertake to try to get my money back.

Seems pretty straightforward. And they clearly show the terms were changed 25th November on the page now, plus they are significantly re-worded.

I'd hope as soon as a responsible manager in there looks at it they will agree.

You can send in an SBR complaint form and we can try reaching out to them for you https://www.sportsbookreview.com/sportsbook-complaint/

Their Malta regulator should be able to help if we can't for this sort of thing too.

I'd try emailing again and asking them to escalate your complaint to a manager for review as my first step though. I don't think they are so dodgy they would intentionally try to do this. I'd guess it's just poor CS.

    Hi there,

I can confirm that 100% and more. I have the same problems and even more.

I received the 250€ 50% VIP Bonus at the end of September. Deposited 500€ some days later and fullfilled the rollover requirements with winnings of ~2300€. Have to say, that I registered in the end of 2017 and made my first withdrawal after taking the World Cup reload bonus in July. My account was verified the first time then.

My withdrawal request was made at 13.Nov. about 2290€ (Ecopayz), after I had to verify again for the second time my account is fully verified.
That verification was not so easy, as I had to send them many different screenshots of e-wallets (Neteller, Skrill, Ecopayz) and they had other excuses everytime. First no URL, then no toe board, then the whole page is required, then then then....

Have not received a single ct since, although I asked the livechat and via email every two or three days about the status and although I get concrete dates about the paying days.
Some examples translated from original german: "Your payout should be processed tomorrow at the latest the day after tomorrow by us." (Livechat from 18.Nov.2018)
"there is nothing to worry about. Your payment will be processed successfully and you will receive your money as soon as possible.Your case will be treated with the highest priority and, according to our department, it could happen today. We ask for a little patience. If you have any further questions, please contact us." (Email from 22.Nov.2018)

Then they told me that they are allowed to hold back withdrawals for 30 days according to their t&c, because of money laundering etc.

I was not happy to hear that, but I thought its okay, I have to accept that.

Just for fun I looked into my account at 30.11. and was shocked as I saw, that money was subducted from my account and the withdrawal was manually changed from 2290€ at 13.11. to 2000€ 25.11.

The explanation in chat was the same clause Kilokou mentioned above.

    Summarized:
Received reload bonus and accepted this without the 2000€ clause. Played through. Won 2300€, verified, requested withdrawal. Tipbet changed t&c and subducted ~300€. Money still not received since 3 weeks.

I thought Tipbet is a reliable book, but that procedure is just fraudulent and shady.

Shall I fill in a complaint as well?

I hope someone is able to help, because I dont know what to do anymore. I chatted a lot of times with them, but no help, just excuses and empty promises. I have nearly every chat transcript and email correspondence, if that is necessary to provide.

Yes, you should send in a complaint form ASAP so we can show them two incidents at once.

I'm surprised to hear of this too. Thought higher of Tipbet as well.

Thats similar but also a bit different than my case as I received my 2k within a couple of hours. And indeed its not that they never pay, but just really strange Tipbet came up with this dubious fraudulent new rule.

I have some updates about that case.

They told me, that there are some technical issues with the payment provider ecopayz. First technical issues reported nearly 3 weeks ago. So, if anybody made payments via ecopayz, espacially withdrawals, please give me some information about it. Thanks

Many books accept Ecopayz for deposits but have troubles to pay out the same way. I made a list of some of those books in the Wettforum a while ago (in German):

    etwas länger her:

    - 24bettle: Einzahlung Ecopayz, Auszahlung nur auf Bank
    - Babe Casino: Einzahlung Ecopayz, Auszahlung nur auf Bank
    - Onebet: Einzahlung Ecopayz, Auszahlung nur auf Bank
    - Mr. Win: Einzahlung Ecopayz, Auszahlung nur auf Neteller
    - Exclusivebet: Einzahlung Ecopayz, Auszahlung nur auf Bank
    - Betadonis: Einzahlung Ecopayz, Auszahlung nur auf Neteller

I don't know the reason for it BTW but it could be the truth when Tipbet is stating it does not work for technical reasons

    Something's weird about Ecopayz

Finally I have to admit, that Tipbet paid the 2000€ via Ecopayz.

    Summarized:
Long verification process for the 2nd time.
Dubious changed Bonus t&c, ended in removed 300€ of the winnings.
    Incompetent or lying customer service.
    Nearly 4 weeks till payment.

This exact same thing happened to me too.
I had even completed the wagering requirements before the t&c change. After a loooong verification they paid €2000, but confiscated €700.

Did SBR or MGA help you guys in the same situation?

One person has had the full bonus re-instated.

Three others they are still ignoring for some reason.

MGA has advised they are taking up the case a week or so ago. If you have the same exact problem it would be helpful to all affected if you can get a complaint form into MGA too right now http://www.mga.org.mt/support/online-gaming-support/

    Answer from MGA:

    Dear Ms. xxx,

Further to the below case, please be informed that we have received information from the representative of Tipbet Limited (tipbet.com) who have informed the MGA that your withdrawal has been completed. Please find below their Terms and Conditions which clearly states that:

    General Bonus Terms:
    6) Before placing a bet, each User is obliged to read and acknowledge not only the General Terms and Conditions, but also these Bonus Terms and Conditions as well as all sports betting and bonus rules, including the provisions regarding minimum stakes, maximum pay-outs as well as maximum stakes. For the avoidance of doubt, by placing a bet, a User has indicated that he has read and accepted all the General Terms and Conditions, Bonus Terms and Conditions and any other applicable terms and conditions.

    9) Tipbet reserves the right to withdraw or to change any promotion, bonus or special offer at any time at Tipbet´s sole discretion upon notice. It underlies in the Users responsibility to keep informed about the current and last updated General Bonus Terms and Conditions as well as any other bonus conditions published on Tipbet´s website. Whenever a User places a bet, he/she accepts the validity and applicability of the current Terms and Conditions and corresponding Bonus Terms and Conditions.

    23) The winning limit for any Sportsbook bonus is set at 2.000€. For any Casino bonus, the corresponding winning limit is set at 4.000€. In case any bonus has different withdrawal limits, this will be clearly stated in the corresponding bonus Terms & Conditions. In such cases, the specific limits shall prevail.

    Regards,

    Kris

Do they mean your withdrawal for the extra 700 euro has been completed?

Or are they basically ignoring the actual issue of the new terms being enforced on old bonuses?

They're ignoring my claim and just siding with Tipbet. I feel as they have not really read and understood my claim (even though I was specific).

Any updates? I'm having exact same issue for just over 2000E. Have had back and forths with Tipbet which lead no where as they just reply with this clause -

I even had them first write me in email which date I deposited and took the bonus then I let them know when they had changed their terms. Obviously deposited and took bonus months before they ever updated their terms with the 2K max winnings rule. They just chose to ignore it and sent the clause "we are scammers, we can do anything, anytime"

    Have made complaint with SBR

Tipbet have just shut down on this issue.

They usually speak with SBR and reversed a couple of people's short payments, where they said the player had completed the bonus terms before the new terms with 2k cap came in.

But have stopped answering about the Slayer8888 complaint and one other that also meets those conditions now.

The fact that they can even argue that they can change terms of a bonus once it has been accepted show that this book is not run by fair minded people and should not be trusted.

I recommend a rating drop for this series of ignored complaints and the Tipbet actions here.

Was just paid by Tipbet after at least 6 months. Thanks to SBR for helping out as usual. Got referred onto MGA, who then referred onto ThePogg through the new system MGA is running. Sent all facts to ThePogg and had my stolen funds in account 2 weeks or so later. No email from Tipbet apologizing or anything like that, but great result none the less. Anyone who has funds stolen because of Tipbets scammy bonus rule implemented after the fact should be able to get funds back through method mentioned above.

    That's great news.

Did you deal with Duncan at Pogg? He's very good.
