    Cashing blank ** MOs
I had a sportsbook send me a couple $500 (the max) blank western union money orders. I want to cash these in my bank account.

There are four lines on the front:

    Pay To The Order Of
    Payment For/Account #
    Purchaser's Address
    Purchaser's Signature

On the back is a line to endorse the money order.

I called up **, and they told me that since it was blank to fill in my name for Pay To The Order Of, along with my address for Purchaser's Address, and sign on the line for Purchaser's Signature. I can leave the Payment For/Account # line blank. And I need to endorse the back with my signature, and then I can cash it in my bank account. Sound good? Anyone have experience with these?

Use them to deposit at another book is the correct play.

which book was it that did this? That is horrible beyond belief. If it falls into the wrong hands, anyone can cash it. At least if it had your name on it, there's a little bit more protection.

i don't see the hassle of them except maybe for the fact that instead of depositing one check at a time now you're depositing 5 checks. still i just use the dep envelop at my local atm and pack it in and put the total amount on front and that would be it

actually, it's better for your privacy, and if you are concerned get the numbers off of them when you wd, in case they are lost.

make it out to cash, and try to cash it at western union. call first before you try this.

I've gotten money orders from BetPhoenix, but they weren't blank. My name was written on them as the payee. Maybe your's being blank was just a bad error?

I don't like the idea of blank money orders here. Bad idea.. Not quite as bad as sending cash in an envelope, but not far from it!

                      thanks for the info.

Why can't you just cash it or deposit it to a bank account ?

Maybe a guy withdrew because he wants the cash.

Sometimes a player might cash out some funds because he wants the use of that cash, maybe to buy something, or even to test how the book is at paying.
