BetJamaica or TheGreek?

I am new to betting on sports (poker player here) and was just looking for the best sports book to make a deposit (first deposit on sports book). For example which book out of these two has better odds and more options to pick from. Any opinions would be appreciated, thanks.

This, plus Greek has much higher limits. If you bet a few hundred a game and don't need access to early overnights, BetJam is a better option, if you bet larger amounts and need overnights, Greek is a better option. Baseball is an exception though as Greek has typically had 20c baseball lines instead of a dimeline, so they're pretty useless for baseball moneylines.

yeah, if you're going to bet baseball then betjam has the advantage between these two books, just based on vigorish alone.

Greek did have a 10c MLB line one year, 2005 or 2006 or so, but they never brought it back again. I'd be happy if they just cloned Pinnacle at a cent worse on each side, assuming Pinnacle does an 8c line again.

Both are great but if you plan on playing the tourney,you better use Greek.Betjam is too slow on getting lines up,you can transfer to Betjam for bases.

If you you place a decent volume of wagers, BetJamaica has a really cool loyalty program that gives you a freeplay every 100 bets based on the average amount of their sum (max $200) - It's not automatic though you need to request it when you think you're in the 100 bet neighborhood.

Good info, I am looking at both and am leaning toward The Greek, though last night, I could not get an answer on their customer account lines to ask a few set up questions. Is BetJam the same way?

I like the Greek the best, they usually offer more lines for sports that aren't just the main sports to bet on.

both , you shouldn´t close any door, you should have at least 3 or 4 books with money there, them shop for prices.Open and account with all A+ and you will be fine.

The Greek is better for everything except baseball. However, baseball is just about here, so I would go with Jamaica now and transfer to the Greek for football season.

ok cool thanks for all the opinions. the one thing that makes me lean more towards the greek is i noticed you can basically create your own point spread on there and not just adding or subtracting 3-4 points like most other books. they give you a huge variety when it comes to this so that is why i was leaning more towards the greek.

Greek would suit you well just about any time other than baseball. Both them and CRIS still deal 20 cent lines as far as I know. Rest of the year though both are must have outs.

I have no experience with BetJam, but it gets glowing reviews in this forum. I can tell you that Greek is awesome, except for baseball as has been pointed out. My only issue with Greek is depositing from the USA isn't as easy as with Bookmaker or 5dimes (I like being able to deposit on the spot with a **** or instant transfer if needbe), but it is definitely an A+ book.

It wouldn't hurt to have money in both if you can afford it and I strongly suggest you use Greek during basketball & football season, but if you plan on betting baseball regularly and can only open one account now, you will be better off passing on Greek until September.

Are you sure about that? I can't ever remember them having dime lines for baseball other than the playoffs. Is that what you are thinking about? I mean I could be wrong and just missed it but this is the first I've heard about it. Anyway doesn't really matter at this point, curious more than anything else.
