Matchbook and 5Dimes could easily get 90% of your bets, even if you had 5 or more books, and no Pinnacle access.

BetJam is better than 5Dimes.
If you Canadian Pinnacle rules all!
How exactly is betjamaica better than 5 dimes???????? unless you prefer higher juice and about 1/10 the betting options?????? betjamaica is a beginner book owned and managed by good folks, but its really not that great a sportsbook.
If you want to bet some soccer or tennis, well not at Betjm.

He never threatened me, but years ago I bet I-AA football and 5d was the only book that offered it. Pinnacle offered a handful of Ivy league games for a while but got beaten pretty badly on them so they stopped offering it. The limits were small (I think $200) and the juice was -115, but I did pretty well on them. After I got my limits cut, I asked why they were cut when they were low already and Tony said something like "Who the **** are you to think you can beat me to my ****ing lines."
BetJam might have fewer options but they don't curse at you, and they send you a polite letter when it's time to send you upstairs to the Greek.

No reason to pay full juice. Everyone should have a Matchbook and 5Dimes account

why would anyone play anywhere other than 5dimes?!?!?!
While many people gamble strictly for recreation, the goal is still the same for everyone and that is to hopefully make money doing it.
Why would anyone play anywhere other than 5dimes? Because they don't like winning gamblers and will SEVERELY cut your limits if you have any clue as to what you're doing.
If you're betting $50 a game or less (recreational gambler), then you really don't have much to worry about.
However, if you're a more serious gambler who shows consistent long-term profits, 5 Dimes will SEVERELY cut your limits each and every time.
Its one thing when a book cuts your limits if you consistently chase steam or only bet props but 5 Dimes will cut your limits no matter what you bet. The only way to permanently prevent 5 Dimes from cutting your limits is to LOSE.

Only the few does because it's not because they are better bettors though. These are the guys that are stack and have nothing better to do with their money. Can consistently blow 1k to 5k on a bet and won't even flinch. I know a couple of folks like this, and they usually hurt the bookie in the short term.
I say most players here general probably wager 100-300 dollars a day, if that.

I guess that is how 5Dimes can keep 5% juice because they boot the big players that have success. But why not take advantage of that low juice if you are a person who bets $200 - $300 a game. Take advantage of low juice until you get cut then move on. I play 80% of my football bets at MAtchbook anyway. They just are not good for College Hoops.

why is 50k seen as such a huge amount? add an extra zero on the end and i can start agreeing w/ this statement. keep in mind a reasonably smart/motivated person should be able to earn 50k easy annually net of taxes and benefits from a permanent position. if you're reasonably good ap, 50k should be equivalent of 6 months earn rate at rock minimum. this is esp true at books like 5dimes that have some significant weaknesses..

Wow I just joined them today, after joining them a while a okay.
I deposited using Western Union, and I love the way its set up.
Just made a 3 team parlay, but I am going to try buying some points
It sucks that they don't let you use Western Union anymore.
Actually intertops doesn't let you use western union anymore to withdrawl either. Does anybody know why this is.?
They still let you use moneygram though. So who knows.
I stopped using intertops after they didn't update me before I submitted a bet and then tried to lie when I first contacted them. So screw them. They were an excellent sports book till then.

All I use anymore is Pinnacle and Matchbook and find myself on Matchbook more than Pinnacle. If im looking for options and different types of bets I go to Pinnacle but I usually find lower juice on Matchbook by a little bit. Not to mention you can find gems in ingame betting if you pay attention.

I have bet with a local on a personal level for almost 15 years. When the offshore thing first became popular I had a couple accounts back in the day just for games my local didn't offer and for after hours, maybe some 2H plays.
So for the most part I'm new to the offshore game after not doing it for 7-8 years. Reading all the different experiences people have with different books is interesting. Some hate one while others love it. I guess it all depends on your playing style. It's nice there's a place like SBR to guide you toward reputable books, if their ratings are actually true and not bought.
I am just so used to dealing with my local who is a good friend of mine after all these years. I know where I stand with him & know I'm gonna be treated right. Having been a bookie myself for several years I know the local end of the biz pretty well & have been in sales & marketing all my adult life, what I'm saying is I know how to handle different customers with different needs in any business. I also know in some businesses, like being a bookie, you have to cut the nice BS & get down to business.
With that said, if I was winning at a book, which is what I do because that is the purpose, and someone cussed me & didn't wanna pay me my winnings, Costa Rica is not near far enough away for him to not see my face in 24 hours or less! Possibly an associate of mine in 6-10!
I just don't understand how they expect to keep players when they get pissed when you win. That's how it works. Some win, some lose.
