Early indications are that the Vegas books did very well on Superbowl Sunday. The "Strip" books, those at the major hotels, led the way. The straight wagers broke pretty even, but the ML wagers did well. Reports have Poker Star Phil Ivey dropping 3 million on the Colts ML. The big profit makers for the books were the Total wagers, which were predominately on the Over, and the prop wagers, which did very well for the books.
Estimates are that the total take will be very near that of last year's take. At first, a 10% reduction was expected, but late money managed to come in from the East Coast, despite the bad weather. Still, the weather hurt the take, when you consider that this was the most watched Superbowl ever.
