Hello everyone,
I’ve had an account with Bovada for almost 3 years. At first I didn’t play much, then I took a break, and about 6 months ago I came back and started playing more seriously.
During that time:
- I had significant losses
- I reached VIP status
- But through consistent betting (no bonuses abuse, no tricks), I managed to recover and eventually go into profit
At one point, my account balance reached around $168,000.
Because I trusted Bovada as a reliable sportsbook, I didn’t rush to withdraw everything.
Everything was fine until one withdrawal:
- It started taking longer than usual
- Then I was asked to complete verification
- Immediately after that, my account was locked
I submitted everything they requested.
Now the issue:
It’s been over a month
My account is still not verified
The “investigation” is still ongoing
I’m not getting any real or specific answers
What bothers me the most is this:
If I had lost $150,000 on my account, would I have the right to lock my account and deny Bovada access to that money?
Of course not.
So how is it fair that when a player wins money in a legitimate way, the account gets locked and access to funds is blocked?
I understand that verification and checks are part of the process, especially for large amounts. That’s not the problem.
The problem is:
- the complete lack of transparency
- the extremely long delay
- and no clear timeline or explanation
I’m posting this to:
- share my experience
- see if anyone else went through something similar
- and to bring attention to cases like this
Because if situations like this become normal, then what is the point of this industry?
Are we agreeing, by signing up, that we can only lose money — but if we win, our funds can be frozen indefinitely?
I will continue to update this case publicly.
If anyone has advice or similar experiences, I’d really appreciate your input.
