...so, like many newbies to online sports wagering, I first got started with Sportsbook.com last summer, because it was the only one that I knew of at the time. I didn't realize its poor rating until I was ready to make my first payout and started doing my research here.
Thankfully, it wasn't too painful. I am a U.S.-based customer and I made my first withdrawal via bank wire for $2K. The whole process from identity verification to getting the money in bank account was about 2 weeks...which wasn't bad considering that this was over the Thanksgiving holiday as well.
When doing my research, I learned about other books that I have since joined for different reasons (BetPhoenix, Bookmaker, Legends) and I began noticing the differences -- primarily the customer service.
While I will probably never keep that much money in Sportsbook.com in the future, here are the positives and negatives as I see them. If anyone can vouch for other books that can offer the same positives that are higher rated, let me know.
POSITIVES
1. Progressive Parlays
2. Early posting of lines and overnight lines
3. High number of games for inclusion in teaser bets (unlike 3 game teasers at BP)
4. Low minimum deposits
5. ***********
6. Hassle free credit/debit/gift card deposits without 10 day holds
7. Bank wire and *** withdrawals
8. No limit to withdrawal amounts for most amounts
9. Moneygram and Western Union deposits
NEGATIVES
1. Rotten, ignorant customer service
2. Can't parlay cross-sport half games
3. No Moneygram or Western Union withdrawals
4. Bonuses aren't that great
