What stops an offshore book from telling you to eff yourself?

If you are in the US playing offshore and lets say you hit a $100K jackpot on a slot or a table game.. Besides bad publicity/industry cred, what prevents them from completely denying your payment arbitrarily?

Do you really have a leg to stand on? I generally cash out when I hit 1K in winnings b/c I am always apprehensive about getting up several K, as I feel they could shut you off at any time with no explanation.

I know this is a risk we all take playing offshore, as I know my money will never be as safe as it is at, say, a US horse racing site..

Correct, nothing.
Don´t underestimate that bad publicity/credibility aspect though, once a book/casino begins to get any sort of reputation as a non-payer it´s flow of new customers slows to a trickle (of idiots).

Happens all the time with the multitide of shitty books; Daily in fact. Usually the "F*** OFF!" sounds a bit something like any of the following.....

..."We won't be paying you, seeing as you share the same IP as somebody else on the planet....."
..."We would pay you, but we feel you are part of a betting syndicate, so tough luck....."
..."Unfortunately, we are having payment processer issues, which could last well into the next decade....."
..."We realize you are being asked to submit your ID for the 57th time, but it's still a tad too fuzzy....."
..."You're a very talented bettor; As such, we've decided to punish you by keeping your balance....."

Translation for all of these: "Go F***Yourself".
