You've blocked most of the world from placing a decent bet. The juice on soccer is 50c. If you think that these type of actions are consistent with your previous statement, you are mistaken. There is nothing wrong with being a rec book. There is something wrong with being a rec book trying to portray themselves as a book that takes professional action. There will be nothing but trouble if this is the case.

Here's a suggestion. Why not keep the -105 line and limit bets to $300 - $500 per play. That will allow you to adjust lines before you get overloaded on a side, and balance your books as needed. Back in the day, this is what bookmakers DID. That's why they called them bookMAKERS. Sure, you might get sided or middled once in a while, but that's part of the cost of doing business. In the long run, you will make alot more than you lose. And people like me will still give you plenty of action.

I am sure BP know what they are doing. There are only two possible outcome from this move.
A. They will make more money than before the changes...
B. They will make less money than before the changes...

If it is the latter I am sure they will revert back to the -105; hence the idea of "maximizing profit". If they do make more money now, who are we to tell them that they are making a mistake?

As for those looking to replace your -105 lines, go with 5dimes. They have both -105 on both side and total for NCAAB; but limit is really low $250, but I am sure that is suffice for 90% of the players.

I bet mostly college baskets. So when I found out they cancelled reduced juice WITHOUT giving heads up, I called, and here's how it went.

They promised a lot of good things, but have not backed them up. I would not trust this book.

Exactly, i trusted him...well as much as you can trust someone on a forum in that situation...i told him straight away iam a professional player, and sent a 8k deposit to start off. I didn't take the bonus he offered me, but i asked: will he take that kind of action without all the bullshit counter measures recreational books will fire at you faster than you can say A?

He said it's ok, just don't chase vapor across the board...i didn't...i got cut, delayed and put to -110 anyway. That is why i called him a loudmouth, and he deserves every bit of it imo.
Anyway, just two more b2b and iam out. Besides a few soft lines, major waste of time.

This book is looking and sounding more like a small time operation, they just talk big time.

To the point being discussed. March Madness is only six weeks away. So to change the vig for just that period sends a little bit of a strange message. Is it really so hard to make things work that you can't bridge these six weeks?

I think the best way to bring back -105 is to make the current decision a poor choice. Best way, stop playing the NCAAB lines till they bring back -105 or at least a degree of concession i.e. -107. If they have to have someone maintain the lines, that no one bet on, I am sure they will bring back -105.

What I am guessing is that -105 isn't nonprofitable, but they (BP) are assuming that it might be more profitable to go -110.

Not to mention the weird bonus rules. I hit a +190 on the freeplay, which made my rollover more than $300 higher than someone who hit their freeplay at +100. The rollover should be based on the bonus, not what you win from it.

Are they trying to hang with the big boys or play will the little rec books? There are plenty of books out there that won't take a big bet, and want to get a specific clientele. Nothing wrong with it. But you're gonna have problems when you make no headway on that front. Delays/Cut Limits/Restrictions on Signups/etc

The list of issues goes on with this book which is actively taking steps to ensure profitability, but not to be a big kid. Most of the complaints are quite legitimate that I hear. Which ones do you think are "noob"? The fact that your username and password are in the URL when you login? I hardly play there at all, so it doesn't affect me. lol I might be less nonchalant if it were different. I prefer books with a more stable, long term outlook, who know who they are and what they stand for. It seems that Betphoenix is still trying to figure that out. Short term fixes, little band aids here and there. On the other hand, they've been generous with bonuses, and they have taken on a lot, backing a number of other books, so I don't mind that they're preferring to play it safe.

phoenix jacked me for like 850 bucks then i called up carlos in the casino department and that guy was fkn smooth. he gave me back 150 of it and i went away because my problem was too hard to prove. i dont really have a problem with them but-lotsa good prop options. but im not depositing there again.

I see this as no PR nightmare...and no need to classify me as a loudmouth or monkey etc when I am just here to communicate. If you think insulting BP employees and my self is warranted, then fine, but again I am simply trying to communicate with you. Also, these notices were broadcasted before any changes were made. At the end of the day, NCAA hoops lines are just not stable enough at this time regardless of information provided. It is a negative hold scenario. I feel this is the appropriate risk management move for this business at this time. As stated before all other sports where lines are competent -105 is still available.
