I've just made deposit to matchbook, and I've found this:

How to avail of our special commission rate for soccer:
1. Once you make your Moneybookers deposit, we will set your account to the promotional commission rate for a 4 week period. This special commission rate applies to all soccer wagering.
2. Our current commission rates are already the most competitive in the industry. With this promotion you will be able to bet on soccer at an even greater discounted rate. If you accept an offer, the fee is 0.2%. If you post an offer that is accepted, not only is there no fee, but Matchbook will pay you 0.2%.

It seems they have decided to take part of the soccer market from BetFair.

Sounds like they are trying to get more liquidity for soccer. I guess I would try to place some (a significant increase from none) soccer bets if they offered that rate to me.

How did you get this rate? Is there a matchbook rep on this forum perhaps?

Betfair is one greedy intermediary who don't take any risk whatsoever themselves.

their customer service told me that that special offer ended :-(

but it was weird that i saw it in the proces of depositing, not on their home page, not on this forum
