    matchbook question
Anyone know who is the market maker for matchbook? Is there more then one group? Because it only seem like there is 1 group. There are hardly any competing lines at MB. I sometimes put up lines for $50 bucks or so for most football games. But normally I only see 1 set of lines across the board for 500-1k. Wonder why don't more people compete for lines at MB.

It's not a square friendly book though. No bonus, reload, parlays, teasers etc. Ie no stupid shit. Place is a shark tank. Matchbook should really just be a public back end to seed a square book.

Every SBR poster should have an account at MB.

I just hope when they get a little bit more liquidity in the market they don't bump the juice.

It should be inevitable that this book takes off but the time to make money is probably on the way up.

I remember betfair starting up and now they think it is ok to tax "Joe Average" 5% on winning wagers and penalize big winners to the tune of 20%.

They are great for horse racing due to the nature of the market but that's about it.

The starting "Average Joe" rate of commission at Betfair has always been 5% and the sliding scale is such that bigger players can quite easily get down to 3-4 percent.

In addition, Betfair´s really big winners are more than smart enough to mitigate if not totally eradicate exposure to Premium Charge.

That is not to say that Betfair has not tried to leverage it´s dominant market position but you can bet your last dollar that Matchbook would do exactly the same if it was able to.

Matchbook's commission structure seems quite fair, but I don't see how they could possibly hope to increase liquidity by upping the commission so I'm kind of hoping it's the reverse (perhaps something where those who make offers get an even higher %)? Whatever it is, if it ups the liquidity without taking more commission, I'm all for it!
