Is infuriating. Why do they do this?

Prolly needs a linesman to look at it, cos there's too much money on one side, triggered an automatic alert or whatever.

I have put markets offline with maxbets. The easy answer is therefore that they put markets offline when they get a (max) bet on one of the sides.

The don't offline to every max bet. They may offline to maxbets from certain accounts, and they definitely offline when something is getting smashed all across the screen.

One reason is Pinnacle pulls the markets when certain syndicates are betting out. They often know about the moves before they even take a bet, and they will take the odds offline, before anyone even gets a bet in.

because they are a good book, and prefer to adjust their lines in time instead of cutting limits/booting players/enter random "countermeasure bullshit here"
