DSI Stole My Betpoints!!!

Hi,

I logged into Diamond Sportsbook International tonight to see that my betpoints had been removed. I had quite a few and they would have covered any withdrawal fees that I would have incurred.

I asked on livechat what the problem was, as I only joined 8 days ago! This is a transcript of the chat:

CS - Kim: The type of bets you do do not qualify for the loyalty program
CS - Kim: You only bet in tennis match ups
you: is that against the rules?
you: i didn't realise it was :/
CS - Kim: accomplish is not against but it do not accomplish them either

CS - Kim: You have to have more variety on your wagers to be eligible
you: well i think my points should be reinstated as i had no warning of the fact i would be banned
you: and there is nothing in the rules to say that i have to bet on a variety of sports to be eliegibe

How on earth does this book get an A+ rating when it bans its customers from the Betpoints programme for not betting on a variety of sports? I presume that the fact that I am in profit here has some bearing on the decision...

I would be grateful for any comments.

Bet points are a bonus the book can give out as they see fit IMO. Betonline stole my bet points, but I am still happy with them. WTF, life goes on.

I cash mine out for cash at Bookmaker whenever I hit 12,000 though "just in case".

That´s just so typically DSI/CRIS shit customer service...they don´t even give you a message that says the points have been removed, it looks like a browser error when you try to click them lol...

The way they handle this is D book style, yes they have the right to cut anyone off the betpoints as they are for squares, but taking away already earned points and not even having the balls to put a message in to inform you sucks.
Forget them, better books out there with lower juice...don´t they have horrible lines on tennis?

Yes, I had already earned the Betpoints. I wouldn't mind so much if they had never credited them, but the attitude smacks of them not liking the fact that I was winning.

I have found the odds on tennis to be fine. I joined for the bonus offer, which I thought was good, but my estimation of this book has gone downhill after this stunt. I'd probably continue playing there if the points were reinstated.

I agree with Peep on the points being a bonus, but to award them and then renege on the deal is not the sort of behaviour you would expect from an A+ book in my opinion.

Right. Be that as it may, I expect a better reason than "you bet on tennis" from an A+ rated book. And given that Betpoints are a reward for turning over money and equate to cash, I consider them to have deprived me of money, albeit indirectly.

If you mean my actual balance excluding Betpoints, then no. But I don't see what bearing this has on the issue...

As I recall, a few years ago, after CRIS and/or DSI stole a large chunk of loyalty points from several players, they agreed that from there on in, they would not confiscate any loyalty points already issued to players.

They could cut people off of the program and prevent them from receiving any FUTURE loyalty points, but they agreed that they would honour any loyalty points already issued prior to when the customer was cut off of the program.

Ok, but they currently have 3 levels of watered down points (new points system sucks compared to previous). People on the lowest level earn fewer points per dollar bet than others. Should they be able to request potential lost points? Cris has the right to run this program as they see fit--even though it stinks.

When BM gimped the system months ago, they tried to steal betpoints from people who had earned and not yet redeemed. Mine got resolved with a manager. I think some people had it resolved through here. Cutting you off future betpoints is fine. Stealing earned ones isn't. And not telling you about it is bush league, but almost every book is bush league when it comes to such things.

If you read through all the rules of these books you will find that they all have a clause saying they can make any decisions they like and don't need to explain them to you.

i.e. no justification required

I lost betpoints at DSI, Bookmaker and CRIS the same way as you but didn't get an explanation for why although in the main my bets would have been mostly tennis too

They didnt. so they have to let the betpoint to the customer until they writte the new rule in the TC

i had prefered dsi to other books because i feal the betpoints program gave them an edge to other books many of them dont ofer the rewards program and i havent had a problem as of yet but hearing things like this makes me uneasy i wish they would just legalize this shit in the US so there can be some legit regulations.
