William Hill - Cancelled bet after it won
Hi,
I placed a bet on Roy Jones Jr (boxing) on Sunday morning at 01:37am with William Hill.
Odds were available at many bookmakers at the time, however as i had cash in my WillHill account i decided to place it with them.
The fight started at around 03:00am and Roy Jones Jr duly won in the 10th round.
The bet hadn't been settled by 13:00pm the next day, so i contacted Live Chat who happily settled the bet.
Half an hour later the winnings were removed from my account by Manual Adjustment.
I contacted live chat again and they said that their "settling team" had decided that all bets after 01:00am had been cancelled because the odds were left up by mistake.
Never once did WH email me to tell me that the bet had been voided, had they done that i would have bet at one of the other bookies with odds available. They have waited until the next afternoon to void the bet.
I have tried to complain via email and live chat but am getting nowhere.
Please can anyone help, or has had similar experience?
I have submitted a complaint form viz the SBR website.
