HELP! MyBookie closed my account and confiscated all my funds

That’s a bit of a problematic view in my opinion. “You didn’t do your research so your fault” instead of actually acknowledging that there’s wrongdoing on the books part and they should face some sort backlash.

I never said it was YOUR fault, everyone that has been on SBR for 3 months knows mybookie is a shit site. All I said was you obviously didn’t do your homework before you sent $2000 to a third world country. Google MYBOOKIE.AG SCAM. Or better yet, type mybookie scam in the search field here on SBR . The scam isn’t new, been around for years. I just don’t feel sorry for any of the first time posters crying about being scammed by mybookie. And they are almost always first time posters.

Good luck getting your money, hopefully SBR can help you out.

If you deposit your money in an overseas account, you are BEGGING to get taken. Only a complete and total FOOL would deposit his money in an account in a foreign country that is notorious for this sort of thing to go on. You have ZERO recall. What are you going to do? Sue them? They've already done that. They are the same people that ran BetOnSports and ran off with Millions of dollars in customer balances. I tried to warn people here about these frauds when they first started up in 2014. Good luck in getting your money. Did you sign up through any referring website? Maybe they can help you out in addition to whatever SBR can do:

Be VERY, VERY careful. I sent this info to SBR support, but they have not got back to me. This was in their FAQ.
We are a new sports book site, but our owner group and management team ran BetOnSports, one of the most widely recognized sports books in the world, for a number of years.

They also sent me an unsolicited E mail offering a Free $25 account. I contacted them demanding the money they stole from me in 2006 back. Of course, They never got back to me, but have since removed that statement from their FAQ. They actually thought it was a good thing to identify themselves as former owners and/or management that ran BetOnSports.

Their own words when they first started were that they were the same owner group and management team that ran BOS(and ripped off Millions of Dollars from Customers when they closed up). Can't be much clearer than that. I believe the main guy was released from jail a few years ago.

Weird. They don’t run the book the same. Lines are not same.

Both of 2 main guys was sentenced to jail in 2009 for about 3, 4 years each.

Which means they are out 7 years ago .

People must do zero research before they pick a gambling site in a third world country to send their money to, but somehow they always seem to find SBR after fact. I’m willing to bet they do more research on a $20 purchase on Amazon than a $2000 deposit in Costa Rica.

Seems a bit silly to blame this guy while he's down. Not sure how that adds constructive progress to this conversation.

Edit: Nevermind. Here' just one. There are numerous other sites which back up @TheGuesser's claim that MyBookie promoted the fact that BOS is running the show. They must have realized that was bad publicity, and now no mention of BOS nor Kaplan can be found anywhere in their materials
