#37FYI - Not only do they not exclude Australia in their list of restricted nations, but they actually include Australia on the very same page:Originally posted by AuWillowLong Version with proof :-
After not being able to log in, i hope on live chat. Amy informs me of the rule change. For prosperity sake and because the irony is not lost on me, I take a photo with Mybookie's T+C's in the background.

My spider senses start to tingle when she mentions "line manager". Not allowing Australians would not be a line managers decision. However perhaps lost in translation.
Im also annoyed that they are canceling my pending bets. I've got some good bets on at decent odds but if they are going to refund then i can live with that.
Its a long 24 hr wait.
Next morning below.
Still unable to log in, i hope on chat again. I ask the question i was dreading and get the response i was dreading. I've been swindled.

The conversation with the "supervisor" below.

Dase stating that they will only return my original deposit of 499.

Just in case MYB try to change the story. Dase stating there was no issue with my play.

My account was verified in March/April ( i can provide proof of that ) around the time when barstoolsports was fighting with mybookie. That spooked me but i knew some people who had withdrawn successfully from mybookie so i decided to hold off withdrawing to try and avoid being limited. Which is what generally happens when you start to withdraw $ from books. Silly me.
Happy to answer any questions people may have and would love to hear your thoughts on the matter.

#38Originally posted by AuWillowI callled Mybookie and spoke to "bruce". He towed the company line. Apologized and said i played from a now restricted country.
I said to him.
A) Australia is not on your own restricted country list - https://mybookie.ag/terms-conditions/
B) I verified my account (sending in my drivers license ) in April 2019.
C) I have a chat transcript from March ( when mybookie was fighting with barstool sports ) where they confirm my account was fine and there was no issue with it.
One thing he did let slip was that my total was $4450 but he quickly corrected himself and said $499.
They are not budging here, any help would be appreciated.
That's disappointing. good job for trying.
Make sure you send that complaint in and we can give it a try for you now.

#39obviously not... bonus books can't let sharps or others beat them up, or their business model becomes a total failureOriginally posted by JustBleedFanI have money at MyBookie.ag too and this kind of shameless theft is really concerning. They are spending money advertising all over the internet and on podcasts like Anik & Florian to attract new customers. So why risk this kind of bad publicity by confiscating money for made up reasons for a few grand? They're not making enough profit by treating customers fairly? It seems so shortsighted.
that business model is based on people losing at a 4% clip, and/or shoving off a bunch of dough in the casino... or quite often the business model is based on money only flowing in one directionComment -

#41That is some nice sleuthing DontTailMe. I didn't pick up on that. I have lodged my complaint and awaiting official feedback from SBR Reps.
Fingers crossed. To me, this seems like an open and shut case. Lets see how much Mybookie value their reputation.
If they choose not to pay me, that is a danger for everyone regardless of where they currently live. What is stopping them retroactively canceling anyone's bets citing they live in a now non supported country/state.Comment -

#46Shit book who many have said will eventually stiff winners and find many excuses not to pay in a timely manner or at all. They also make up new rules and excuses as you go along all to get out of paying.
Sad part is they put a ton into advertising so you know they’ll always get new customers who don’t do their research.
They deserve an “F” rating here but have probably purchased a higher one. How they got bumped up in ratings at SBR instead of down is insane.Comment -

#49I can confirm that the exact same thing happened to me.Originally posted by PunisherINDAny other Australian players at mybookie that can confirm or deny?
Also, shouldnt pending wagers be honored? I know when bovada stopped accepting players from NY they honored my pending bets.
I had $13,000 of winning removed from my account and deposits only refunded.
Again I have evidence that I was not accused of wrong doing, I even have evidence of a customer service agent telling me as an Aussie I could bet and that I could deposit on the same phone call, and then a line manager telling me my winnings were all being taken because I am Australian.
Also I have had account for a few years and in the past lost money, I never had any issues until I ran my balance from $3000 deposits a few months ago to a balance of $18,050 and my account was locked.
I asked if my losses would have been refunded if I had lost, and was told no.Comment -

#56IIRC, that was the same Twitter that had the spat with Dave from Barstool. Basically tweeted something busting his chops (I think making fun of a losing bet). Dave didn't take it well and unleashed the Barstool fandom at him. Personally, I thought he should've shot back asking why Dave couldn't take a little ball busting (MyBookie was a sponsor of theirs at one point), but instead put his tail between his legs and ran away.Originally posted by ARob94I noticed for the first time on Sunday it said contact customer support when I submitted a bet. MyBookie's rules clearly do not restrict Australia, and in fact, they display the Australian flag along with other accepted nations. If MyBookie wants to change their policies. then they should pay these gentlemen their full balances, plus a bonus for any voided pending wagers, update their rules and start rejecting new Australian accounts as of today. Don't screw people over who have done nothing wrong.Comment -

#65I would argue SBR promotes them with a grade much higher than they deserve. They even got a grade increase fairly recently.Originally posted by jjgoldscam websites and touts promote them all you need to know
So JJ, why would this book be given a C+ rating by SBR?
That would lead many to believe their funds are relatively safe there. Although they wouldn’t be considered one of the top books, their SBR rating implies they would fall somewhere in the middle. I could see a lot of people making that mistake if they stumble upon SBR’s ratings guide.
Funds and winnings clearly aren’t safe at MyBookie. They deserve a much lower rating, probably as low as F, in my opinion.
Or you could just poll everyone who has posted on SBR that they’ve either stiffed, pulled slow-pay no-pays, changed rollover rules mid-stream making them impossible to meet, canceled bets, voiding winnings, and the list goes on and on.
This is a book that has plenty to spend on advertising to reel in new customers, but their funds mysteriously disappear when it’s time to pay out winnings.
Anyone who has a say in rating MyBookie, and doesn’t have them rated near the very bottom of the barrel when it comes to choices you can make when selecting a Sportsbook, is borderline complicit in their treatment of customers.Comment -
