Anyone have any idea why they're not listing offshore odds anymore?

#2Perhaps they are choosing Jersey over offshore, or perhaps they have no choice...
VegasInsider Reprimanded by New Jersey Gaming Officials
Sports gaming information site VegasInsider was warned by the New Jersey gaming regulators last week that the company violated state and federal law by promoting offshore sportsbooks. The state’s Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) served an official notice June 28 that the site would need to immediately dissociate with unregulated sportsbooks or could be subject to civil or criminal sanctions.
The DGE’s letter specifically referenced an advertisement with offshore Bookmakers BetOnline.ag. An advertisement for the site was still on the VegasInsider.com homepage as of Monday morning.

“Illegal sites that accept wagers from players in the United States pose a significant threat to the regulation of lawful gaming,” wrote Deputy Attorney General Anthony Strangia in the letter, which was addressed to VegasInsider owner and president Mark Mariani.

#5Wow.. incredible. New Jersey laying the law down now lol They want to rule the world. This doesn't look good... and could get ugly with "other" websites.
It's funny though... isn't Vegas Insider's HQ's in Nevada? Seems like a state viewpoint. Not a "Federal" issue. New Jersey may be barking up the wrong tree.Comment -

They banned the website oddshark because they had ads for online books.
SBR will be banned there as well, all it takes is one ad from an unregulated book.
Jersey can not have any offshore promotion, and as long as it's not regulated, they can legislate that ban.

#8Yes, this thread was mistakenly put in the Think Tank, but that doesn't give your lying fraudulent ass the right to come in here and post.
Even if you are posting old news that was already posted in this thread.
Lying in the Think Tank and threatening posters was far enough, you're not welcome here, move along little guy.

#9On the subject of Lying... I will still gladly use VagasInsider rather than look at scoresandodds where they have officially removed their "classic" site. LIARS!!! Said they would leave the classic site available and now it's been officially removed in favor of their "new and improved" POS site.Comment -

Oddschecker has multiple variants depending on your IP and choice. The US variant only has about 6 books including the Sugar House in Philadelphia. If you do want to use Oddschecker, (which is very good from a UK/Europe perspective), it will be a lot less trouble if you create a free account there. Accounts can change odds from fractional, (which is the default setting and a huge pain for Excel), to either US or decimal. Oddschecker requires an email address, but the address can be completely fictional such as adfhejteyryuiryuk.com as there's no check/click the link to verify. If you do use a genuine or temporary email then use a vpn if you ever contact them. I used a yopmail account to create up my settings and then sent them 'improve the site' feedback that didn't require an email. I later checked the open yopmail page and found they had not only sent an email reply but posted my IP address in the email. I was the opposite of happy.Comment -

#15I also copy paste lines from both the classic and new SBR odds. SBR is less Excel friendly as I have to copy lines to 1 Excel sheet, copy the sheet then paste that to a new sheet. I'm not doing it with masses of lines or data so it's not a huge problem. If I was copying a lot of lines it would be. The New SBR odds is a bit easier than the old odds.Comment -

Give me a day or 2 and i'll stick my base Excel sheets, an explanation sheet, and some examples of what I use them for into a .rar file which i'll post on a 3rd party hosting site. Then i'll PM you with the url and .rar pass. Unless you want an average/weighted price or just a copy for your records it might not help you very much.Comment -
