Bit Pay Card Did NOT Receive Funds!
Yesterday morning, I transferred money from block chain to bit pay wallet.

It is still not in the wallet.

I tripled checked the address and it was sent to the correct address.

Just got off phone with customer support and he directed me to help.bitpay.com/requesthelp

Now I have to fill out the report and most likely get blown off.

I asked the customer service rep how often this happens and he paused...then he gave a "not often" response in an unconfident way.

Maybe this is an isolated incident. But others who use bit pay should be aware of this.

Btw, blockchain shows the transaction was confirmed. So it supposedly went to the bitpay wallet. However, no funds in the wallet.

Edit: Did you send money to your Bitpay Card??? Or Bitpay Wallet? Only read the bottom portion if you were trying to LOAD YOUR BITPAY CARD.

The only possible reason that it didn't credit automatically.... did you include the Bitcoin Networking fee when you paid the Bitpay Invoice?

Sometimes people read the wrong number... and the Bitpay Invoice becomes underpaid.

If it was the wrong amount... it would take several business days to be corrected.

I sent the funds from my blockchain wallet to my bitpay wallet.

On my blockchain page, it shows the following:

It shows the "Sent From" address

It shows the "Received By" address which matches the address on my bitpay wallet.

I just filed a trouble ticket with bitpay tech support. I'm not optimistic.

This issue, along with them taking away the atm option, tells me I need to find other options to cash my bitcoin.

Thank you. I appreciate your contributions on this subject.

I will update as soon as anything new happens.

Bitpay users - please exercise caution and look for other outs.

Sending to a Bitpay wallet is nothing to do with the Bitpay card.

MoneyShot and I already covered this.

I also explained in detail in my first post. It's in the first two statements.

The title should've been Bitpay Wallet Did NOT Receive Funds.

And since the bitpay wallet is integral to the bitpay card, my main point stands.

                    It's not though.

No need to have a Bitpay wallet to use the card.

My comment was for Papertrail who was scared to load up btw.

Yeah, I don't trust the BitPay wallet when there are several best-of-breed 3rd party options out there.

The fact that it hasn't shown in your BitPay "wallet" makes it seem like what you see in your app isn't really the wallet itself but some sort of account that is funded from a wallet address behind the scenes. Otherwise, it should appear automatically once the transaction has been confirmed, if not sooner, correct? Unless there is a major bug with their wallet code. Either way, it's a huge red flag.

Stick with the BitPay card. Use your external Bitcoin wallet of choice.

                          Update.

The funds appeared on my Bitpay wallet.

Not sure why it took over 24 hours after confirmation from blockchain. Was the network that slow? Maybe it's a coincidence it appeared after speaking with customer service and filing a trouble ticket.

Whatever the explanation is, there needs to be a legitimate competitor to the Bitpay card.

LOL its nothing to do with the card....You own the keys to the wallet not much support can do...BUT regardless it could of been sync issue with either the send or receiving wallet...This has happened to me before due to bad or unsecured wifi connection or IP address issue. Then when I move to new wifi location or mobil it shows up...strange but happens few times to me

Yeah, I know. I specified that in my first post. I should've used "Wallet" instead of "Card" in title.

The thing is, my ip address did not change. I suspect it was some technical glitch on BitPay wallet. I also sent funds around the same time from Blockchain to Coinbase and it appeared within an hour.

For anyone interested, BitPay tech support sent me a fairly standard canned response asking for things like screen shots.

For now, I'm going to look into other wallets compatible with the card.

And I'm still surprised another outfit hasn't come up with a similar card. They don't necessarily have to have atm withdraws (although that would be great).

Mycelium works great. I load my bitpay card with that. If you pay a decent fee it's instant on card. Whole process takes under 30 seconds.

Since he quoted your prior post, I'm pretty sure what he's referring to is this statement you made:

                                    "

                                    "

The card is fine. Not that I would mind a little competition, but it's not the source of your problem yesterday.

Good idea, BitPay wallet service not the best out there.

On your phone, Edge wallet appears problem free and easy to use for everyone. Mycellium always recommended too.

On your desktop use the Electrum wallet.
