    BETMANIA.COM not accepting Europeans?
I was just on BETMANIA.COM and I spoke with their Live chat to ask about their soccer lines and get their bonus rules emailed to me. They told me that "at this time, we are not servicing Europeans". Ive never been told that before, I thought Europe was one of the MAIN places you would accept because there isn't any laws (with Ireland anyway) that prohibit online gambling.

Does anyone have any idea why they aren't accepting Europeans. I'm just curious to find out.

    Cheers

EDIT: I went to their sign up screen and Ireland is in the drop down menu. I'm not going to sign up but it's there.

i think their model is targeted more towards US players , and with no disrespect intended to the european gambling community my personal exp with them hasnt been the greatest either with many bonus hunters , as long as they are paying every account their balances , i just see it as a company targeting other countries .

I was contacted because I have an account there, and told that they're rearranging their business among the 3 in the group: BetPhoenix, Sports-1, and BetMania. BetMania will focus on North American business, Sports-1 on European, and BetPhoenix will be available to everyone, though they said they have a lot of their Asia-based players there. My account rep. works for at least 2 of the 3 as the rep's e-mail addy just switched from being at one to being at the other I selected to move to.

I don't think it's anything to worry about; I think they're just trying to reduce excess duplication across their family of books, which is actually a positive - suggesting a well-run family of books IMO.

Aiminghigh GREAT post... I was thinking pretty much the same thing. It sounds like they are re-orgranizing and want to maintain some conformity and have accounts in certain books for exposure and everything. I think this is a great indication of where the book could be heading...
