    William Hill verification
    Hi everyone,

This is my first thread, i hope i'm on the right place.

I have open an account with William Hill month and a half ago, as i couldnt place any bet i send them a mail to check what is going on, and i receive a mail where they ask for

A valid photo ID, such as driver's license, national ID or passport.
    > • A proof of address showing the one registered in your account issued
    > within the past six months, such as bank or credit card statement.
    > • Proof of ownership for the payment method used to deposit in to your
    > account. This may be a screenshot of the ‘My Account’ section of your
    > e-wallet showing your name and account number/e-wallet ID.
    > • Your William Hill username and account number written on a piece of
    > paper.

I had to read the last one a few times

And so in a week or two i collect everything they ask for and i send them a mail. Few days after i receive a mail, that everything is alright but they need another one, so they can complete verification. And it was ME holding the document on the picture. So i tried very hard to make the best picture, so you can actually see everything on the passport, plus they can clearly see my face. Picture was taken with Samsung Note 5 camera.

They said: I'm afraid we've not yet been able to fully validate them using the images that you sent.

Please can you send another photo of your ID, but this time of you holding it. Make sure we're able to see both the document and your face clearly.

Same story??? I send another mail, so they explain to me , what could be wrong with that picture? Cause its been a month now, since i deposit, and my money is stuck for no reason. And i just want to finish the verification, and i ask them to help me out, to tell me what to do. But they continue to send the same mail. At the end, i have tried to send a few more pics. Finally i received this, this morning

    Hi Nebojsa,

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry we replied just now.

We appreciate you've sent a clear photo-holding copy of your passport for your proof of ID and that's been accepted.

Sorry for the confusion, however we're still waiting for a photo of yourself while holding your proof of address.

So now thay want me to hold THE PROOF OF MY ADRESS???? And my adress is in the passport!

So, if we know that Skrill now have all new sequrity measures, webcam verification and everything, is this really neccessery??? Wihtout placing a single bet?

William Hill were recently fined £6.2M for NOT being sufficiently thorough with their verification processes. Anyone joining a European book should expect the process to be rigorous. It's not good. It's not bad. It's just they way it has to be. it's better to go through a strict verification process before you start rather than wait until you win. If they did it that way around people might think they were trying to avoid paying out.

There are 2 choices here. You can comply with their annoying requests or you can join another book that might be easier to start with but could well cause you problems later. For what it's worth William Hill are a rock solid book but their juice is high by US offshore standards and William Hill's customer service consistently grades below average.

        Good advice.

@Shone1979, if you aren't registered to vote at your address and cannot be verified electronically by public records, they do this. But if you are genuine and haven't just bought some ID and a payment wallet account you can be confident about being approved in the end.
