I just got an email from a sportsbook yesterday evening saying that they got word of some chargebacks that were made on my account for like 3k. I told the guy have no idea what he's talking about. He then calls my phone and I don't answer and he starts to tell me my family member names and where I work and that he's going to call of these people and try to ruin my life and then send me to collections. After this he called my parents house and asked for my brother and then me. I really don't know what to do. Should I call the police or what

#3You can submit a sportsbook complaint form with the details and see if SBR can help.
I'd probably call my bank and see if I can find out what they are talking about too..Comment -

#6Not going to say I didn't but not going to say I did...I have had a gambling problem for years and have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars online at sportsbooks...the issue is that this sportsbook I have lost a ton of money on and have lost almost everything that I have...I understand that I have a gambling issue and not going to sit here and act like it's right...but I still think that calling my family and my work is out of line considering that has nothing to do with my issueComment -

#7There is absolutely no way they can send it to collections because it's another country and offshore gambling technically illegal in the U.S. They are just trying to scare you and hope you pay. If I were you I would just be straight with them and work out a payment plan or something. It's better than them messing with your job and family.Comment -

#11It’s illegal in the USA for them to call anyone after you request them not to. But I’m assuming they are from another country. So you’re SOL. Police won’t do anything for you unless they are making death threats.Comment -

#12File a press charges with police because they named your family. SY you are afraid for their safety.
You just cant do anything to stop them unless you get involved with the law.
Im not us citizen nor i know much about your laws but that is most you can do,unless you pay.Comment -

#21So I just read the original post again. I’ve concluded that you are a fukkin jerkoff! So the book first emails you about the chargbakk *. You then proceed to lie to them that you didn’t do the chargebacks. This is what sets them off! If you would have been truthful and told them you’d pay them back, then none of this happens. They probably would have given you time to pay them back also. But you want to play the idiot card with them.
You brought all of this upon yourself. You are a fukkin stiff and I hope they bury you!
People like you make deposits/payouts more difficult for the rest of us.

#22If you want it to stop pay them because that's what they want. It will eventually stop if you ignore it but seeing as they somehow have your families numbers and addresses and your employer I would probably just pay them back. Maybe work out a payment plan with them or something $100 a week or whatever.
MyBookie is mega scummy. I'm lucky they were always good to me when I played there and paid me promptly. Lots of very bad reviews on them here. It seems like they were doing lots of things right in the early stages and had an excellent marketing team but now it seems as though they are being downright thieves and doing whatever it takes to scam or scum people all the time.Comment -

I think we should keep this thread bookmarked to show people who complain about books that are trying to force you to use Bitcoin instead of credik cards for deposits or why they don't want to pay you in Bitcoin if you deposit via credik card. This is why we can't have nice things people!
You want my advice, Morrie? Either: Pay them in full, offer a payment plan, or offer a lump sum settlement to make them go away. But don't expect them to go away or stop calling if you ignore them. They don't care about U.S. Fair Debt Collection laws.

#28It is not right what you have done but have you ever cashed out here and they paid? If someone stiffed you for a large amount you would be pretty pissed too . Like the other guy said work something out with them.
From what i see about this book it is a shame they have a lot of bad reviews and people saying they were stiffed. I have a feeling if you were to win a nice amount from the way people talk about this book you may not have gotten it . Hopefully it is not a huge amount that you owe .Comment -

#30Books get real pissed when you do a **********. I remember after Black Friday for Poker I disputed a few charges on a credit card for fraud and they asked me about a $200 charge from Singapore or something and I said that must be fraud too not thinking about the deposit I made to Bovada. They called and were nasty with me and I said listen my card info was compromised and I have fraudulent charges on my account so anything charged to the card within a few days I disputed. I paid them right back that same day and never had any issues further.
Mybookie is definite scum but I'd still pay them back. You did lose the money after all. No need to be an ahole and say you aren't saying you did or did not dispute the charges. You lost the money. You can end the problem by paying them their money.Comment
