I bet over 2.5 field goals -170 on the week 1 NFL Sunday night game. I logged in on Monday and saw the bet was cancelled. They said it was an obvious line error, and the line should have been 3.5.

It doesn't make sense for the line to be such a simple typo as that would have meant a prop of over 3.5 -170 which is very far away from Bookmaker's usual odds on that prop. Over 2.5 -170 is a line which isn't too uncommon at Bookmaker, even when the weather is good. I lost a bet earlier that day in the Bills Jets game of over 2.5 field goals -170.

Haven't bet these in a while but i think i remember over 3.5 being in the +140 range. If so 2.5 -170 makes sense. Show them your bet on the Jets game.

Hmm. Sounds questionable from what you say but I'd expect there will be some plausible answer.

They have over -180 for AZ/IND AND TEN/JAX. Also over -170 for CHI/TB

They have -200 for Dallas/Denver. I already talked to them and mentioned the other bet. They just said the voided bet was a bad line and it should have been 3.5.

If all games seem to be in the -170 to -200 range then I'd say there was nothing wrong with your wager and should definitely be paid. Hope you get it fixed.

If there isn't a plausible answer for this, I will most likely close my Bookmaker account. I had ONE issue with Bookmaker and they resolved the clerical error the very next day. I've enjoyed Bookmaker for years and while I am only a small, few hundred per day type punter, I find the cancellation of wagers on the grounds of a bad line to be unnerving. Especially on a prop bet where the max bet is fairly small. If you are in Vegas and a book gives you a ticket on a posted event then they are obligated to pay you. I have no idea why offshore books are not held to the same standard.

I am not sure, but I filled out the SBR complaint form. As to the market price at other shops, I don't have line history records or screenshots. I did a copy paste of some 5dimes props for that day and for the 2.5 field goals prop, it shows the over at -195 and the under at +160.

I don't know when the bet was cancelled. They didn't send an email, just set up a popup message which would notify me the next time I logged in. My first log in after they cancelled wasn't until the day after the game.

Over 2.5 at or around -170 is about right for majority of the games.

It could of been approaching -200

But in my opinion a 30 difference isn't a line error.
