On April 21 I made a bankwire deposit to Betjam. When I saw that the money still had not been credited to my account on April 30 I called CS to ask and they told me their account had not yet received the money. CS requested I call my bank and place a trace on the wire and also send them confirmation of the bankwire.
I then emailed them a screenshot of the successful wire from my online banking account, where betjam confirmed that the wire I sent was addressed and filled out correctly. I also asked my bank to place a trace on the bankwire on May 4 and as of today they said they have not yet received a response from the receiving bank.
Since then I have been in steady contact with Scotty, the gm at betjam, and he has told me that their bank did receive the money but claimed there was no beneficiary listed so they were unsure where to credit the money so they returned the wire. We were both skeptical about this answer as you are not allowed to send a bankwire without providing a beneficiary name and account. In addition, I have triple-checked with both my bank and betjam that the beneficiary name and account I provided for the transaction was indeed correct.
As of the end of the business day today the money has not yet been returned to my bank account, nor has Scotty been able to provide me with records that the receiving bank has indeed gone through with the process of returning my bankwire. I appreciate the fact that he has kept in contact with me via both email and phone but am dissappointed by the fact that no progress is being made and it appears no one is actively trying to resolve the situation.
I have made multiple bank wires from this same bank account to bookmaker, matchbook, and 5dimes before with no issue so I am quite puzzled by this situation. What's my play? Keep waiting? Is this worthy of filing a complaint?
Also, has anyone else ever encountered a "missing" bankwire or similar situation before? If so how was the situation resolved?
