As usual they are taking a long time to grade bets. About an hour wait on baseball and football. This book would be so much better if they would just grade the games fast like most books. I don't understand why that is so difficult for them.

#3From the sportsbooks' point of view, the quicker they grade the bets and update your balance the better, as the quicker you have your winnings in your balance the quicker they have the chance for you to lose it all back to them, so it's certainly not in any sportsbooks' interests to delay grading of the bets. I would expect the slower to grade sportsbooks have crap data feed providers at least on some sports who take way longer than other providers to update the results to then allow the sportsbooks to grade the bets.Comment -

#4For some reason the bitcoin only books are slow to grade. All of the other books grade games within minutes. It is frustrating because nitrogen processes payouts very fast but most of the time you have to wait on them to grade the wagers which can take hours. I had to send support 2 messages to grade a baseball game. 2 hours after the game ended it showed up in my account. That is unacceptable.Comment -

#5I'm sure it's that they have to manually check every result. If you allow people to make instant withdrawals, grading will prob. not be instant as well, or you'll be out of business in a hurry.Comment -

#6This. They don't have the leeway in traditional sense of books of being able to have a grace period for mistakenly graded wagers so they probably do them all manually. I wouldn't be against them instituting a policy that accounts with pending wagers have to go under manual review before withdraws but I'm not sure the IT implications of this for them and if it's feasible. I'm sure it's something they have considered.Originally posted by evo34I'm sure it's that they have to manually check every result. HOWEVER. Not grading NFL wagers within a few minutes is not acceptable. THey should have someone on the ready to grade games as they finish. At least for straight bets and sides. Other markets I'll give them a pass.Comment -

#10Just a guess on my part, but since bitcoin only books payout fast and many people withdraw soon as the game is graded, maybe they take longer to grade as a security precaution to make sure it's correct, because they can't get the coins back once they payout. That being said I've never noticed any delays in grading compared to non bitcoin books, seems about the same speed. I'm usually not checking my balance as soon as the game is over though so it's possible I just haven't noticed the difference.Comment -

#11They already are the best as far as I'm concerned. Who's better? Quickest deposits and payouts and lines very comparable to Pinny. First A++ book. If you bet on really obscure lines on there, they can take a while to get graded. I've bet on reverse runlines and prop bets in MLB before and they took a couple hours to get graded. All of my regular bets on there, spreads, totals, moneylines etc. have always been graded quickly, within a few minutes of the game ending.Originally posted by themike78I don't hate them. #13Fairlay is a million times better. Their payouts are faster. They have better odds, more lines, More live betting, and basically no limits. It's not even close. The only drawback is they require a confirmation for your deposit and nitro does not.Originally posted by habitualwinningThey already are the best as far as I'm concerned. Who's better? That's fair, no pun intended, but I find what you say hard to believe. So you're telling me a deposit takes less than 30 seconds and a payout takes less than 7 minutes on Fairlay? Those are my average times on Nitrogen. As far as better odds, I'm sure they are better. A betting exchange will almost always have better lines than a book. That's why I said book. It's like comparing a Vegas casino/book to an offshore one. Are they the same, sure. Are they really the same thing...no. To be fair we should be comparing books to books and exchanges to exchanges.Originally posted by PharaohUB

#16When they set their lines on major events such as the NFL, they seed the market and use Pinnacles lines dropping it by one cent. I was sure that they seeded the market using Pinnacle lines dropping it 1 cent under the original owner.
It seems to be the same under new ownership but I haven't verified it yet.
edit- I'll do some more research on this but they seem to be using Pinnacle lines. This means that they are 1 cent better than Nitrogen. If an offer is made other than the seeded lines, then the offer may be better than Pinnacle.Comment -

#20They said after they are out of beta mode that they are going to post the bitcoin address of their wallet in cold storage. We will be able to see the balance at that time.Originally posted by evo34Raiders: do you have any knowledge as to how well-capitalized they are?
The original owner was Martin. He was very upfront with everything and I trusted him. With the changes, I'm not 100% sure of anything.
They stated that the owner(s) are the same but also stated earlier that Martin's not in charge of day to day operations.Comment -
