William Hill free-rolling their clients?

William Hill have a new feature call 'Cash In'! you can not remove it, you don't have to confirm it, one accidental click, your bet is off minus juice.

I find that to be unacceptable. You should able to disable it or it should ask you to confirm would be ethical thing to do but no, click once lose your bet.

What do you guys thinks?

Should probably stop betting niche markets like MMA and +2000 prop bets. That should be more of a concern to you imo. William Hill is one of the top bookmakers in the world. A top 5 bookie who give generous bonuses and pay fast. No affiliation with WH they're one of the best though.

You can get onto live chat and ask them to put a second confirm on you're cash in. I believe they do this.
As Bet365 have cashin and they ask you to confirm twice

Best thing I could suggest is to be very careful when betting there if you don't want to click the cash in button. Otherwise you run the risk of cashing in your bet on a missclick.

It seems that your account is in Canadian Dollars so I assume you are in Canada so cash in may be new in Canada but it has been around in the UK for a few years now with pretty much every bookmaker now having cash out and I assume it has been active in other countries from around the same time it became active in the UK as well.

It is better known as cash out rather than cash in but whatever name the bookmaker gives it, it's all a complete con. In addition to the margin they take from your original bet, they take an additional 10%-60% margin if you want to cash out at some point, depending on which sport and market you've bet on.

It is simply a complete rip-off and if you can at all help it, don't ever use it. If you want to hedge and you have enough available funds to be able to hedge, lay it off at an exchange or bet the opposite side with the best price available at another bookmaker, whatever turns out to be the best hedge return for you. Whatever alternative option you choose to hedge, the return will be way better than if you click cash out with the bookmaker.

The bookmaker should have it as an optional thing where you can change the settings to disable cash out completely, allow a second confirmation sequence and that sort of thing so you can ask William Hill if they will do any of that, but I've not heard hardly any bookmakers allow that sort of thing, as they want to force this cash cow onto all the customers that they can.

Allowing you to change the settings would be the "ethical" thing to do, but bookmakers have never really been concerned by ethics or morals, so they aren't likely to start giving a toss about any of that any time soon.

If they don't allow you to change any settings on it, you will simply just have to be careful and make sure you never click the cash in button by mistake.

The bottom line is that whilst the bookmakers paint this as the best feature that the punter has ever had, it's actually a complete rip-off and it's the biggest money spinner the bookmakers have come up with in years.

If the books make people confirm everything we get complaints they are purposely stopping us from being able to get the price we want from 2 seconds earlier.

Here is a book offering cashout with no confirmation and people are saying it's them "trying to freeroll" us all.


I get complaints from people regularly saying "they are cheating me because they did not offer cash out on this event" or took it down at some stage.

Those people are just as convinced the book is trying to rip them off by not offering it as you guys sound like you are they only offer it to rip people off.

Truth is, a lot of punters want it. Whether it's smart or not.

Not sure but agree it should be an option.

But also don't think it was intended to try and catch people mis-clicking.

maybe only option is not to make bet at William Hill.

For sure it would be fair to customers for all bookmakers to let customers disable cash out or whatever, but bookmakers aren't interested in fairness so you'll most likely have most of the bookmakers that won't let you disable it and you will therefore have to exercise some restraint and be extra careful not to press the cash out button by mistake.

It's very extreme to not bet with a company just because they have a cash out button though. And if cash out is new to Canada then just like in the UK when it was new, within months you'll have pretty much every bookmaker offering it, so much so now that if you login to a bookmaker and place a bet, pretty much every bookmaker has the cash out button there.

So if your policy is to not bet with any company that has the cash out button there, you might as well stop betting altogether.

Since there is no add on for it just to into you're bets through my account as it doesnt show cash in there so you won't have to worry about clicking by mistake.

I guess the 1st live chat support lack knowledge, he/she told me flat 'NO', nothing I can do. I guess it doesn't hurt to ask for 2rd opinion. William Hill is on my top list of Sportsbook again ...lol.
