I don't know if they do not have the server capacity to handle everyone logged in trying to bet games, but I will attempt to make a bet, the line won't change, the processing thing will spin for about 5 seconds, and it never accepts the bet. I think I tried 12 times in a row and got an error each time - and it would keep saying the line was changing except it wasn't. I just gave up on it.

They really need to fix that feature. Does anyone else have this problem? Live Betting Extra almost always works. But the Live Betting Ultra sucks. It used to be fairly stable during basketball season, but for baseball it's trash.

This is the exact same problem I have been having with youwager, so I am guessing they use the same system.

Almost every time I try to process a wager it says the line changed when I know for a fact the line has not changed. Many of the bets have been attempted during commercials and I use two browsers to check if the line moved during the processing time. Incredibly frustrating, has cost me a good amount.

Its annoying but i usually have to do it like 10 continuous times and goes through..i just like ulta because of all the baseball total options and the ability to parlay live plays.

Betting on ANYTHING live not during a pause or break like between batters or service games in tennis is merely impossible because it updates to updates regardless of an odds change. I would have to say though that it has saved me a few times from myself.

No idea why a "Live" wager take 5-10 seconds to go through. It should be almost instant. Very frustrating using it with Tennis.

Just checked with a friend who has 5dimes and it is indeed the exact same system that 5dimes/youwager use.

So it makes complete sense that this issue keeps happening. Can SBR follow up with each site to see if it can be fixed?

Nope. None of them. At least not true live betting where the lines are up while the game is actually in play.

A delay is a necessity for the books or they would get crushed. Their live traders are usually watching the game on a tv in some foreign land. Usually more of a delay than a local channel in the states. Or you could sit at the game itself and place the bets on you mobile device with zero delay. You would have a 5-10 second head start on t live trader. They'd get murdered. Like you said, even Betfair has a delay. This is why.

                          10000% false.

The delays we get in the states are drastic. Most don't understand that channels like espn/abc are 10 seconds behind, and tnt/tbs are closer to 20.

Most live traders (at least the good ones) have live feeds from third party sources that pretty much give them the best feeds possible. They put the delays on to give themselves the highest advantage possible. But the feeds they get are better than 99% of the bettors they are facing.

Fair point on the feeds. However, bettors can get the same feeds. And like I said, nothing is faster than being at the event live. Sit in the ballpark as a player hits a home run or a wild pitch with a player n third, etc. All you need is a 1-2 second advantage to get a big time advantage over the house

Check out the article linked below on 538 about "courtsiding". Here is an excerpt:

'Sporting Data placed tennis bets primarily on Betfair, which imposes a five-second delay on bets. Often, Sporting Data would get score information from its courtsiders more than five seconds before the official scoreboard updated. Between its data speed advantage and its predictive model — which incorporates each player’s probability of winning serve and return points — it could find advantageous bets."

In January, Daniel Dobson was two months into a new job that allowed him the opportunity to travel overseas and watch live sports. It had a downside, though: It…

Also, this is why many US facing books post their in-running odds during timeouts only. They haven't invested in proper live betting software that is equipped with delays. So instead of getting picked-off by people with better/same feeds while the game is in play, they play it safe by just posting the odds while there is no action.

tough type of betting to perfect

so many different feeds who knows what is fastest

look at scoreboards many quicker than others just like tv feeds

I never had an issue the first few times, but of course tonight after I lose big on GSW.

Try to take the Brewers live when tied. Cost me $300. Wonderful.

Not sure if anyone can answer this.... Where/How do books get their feed/data for live betting? ESPN used to have a live scoreboard which was nice, but only displayed scores and not a feed of which players were doing what.
