Bovada stealing funds

As preface, I have had an account with Bovada for over 10 years and have done many deposits and withdrawals so I was previously verified and have been active in their poker and sportsbook. They had even put me in their red room VIP bonus program. I give this information to show this is not just an account made to take advantage of their bonuses. I was a regular in both their sportsbook and high limit poker games.



A few months ago I started claiming their weekly casino bonuses. I would play the casino bonuses while having all my funds on a poker table- either playing or waiting for a game to start.


Months after I started this, Bovada disabled my account and told me they are closing my account and are still investigating how much was won using the casino bonuses. When they figure that out, they will deduct that from my balance and send me a payout.

After a few weeks of waiting, I contacted them and they now say they are closing my account and confiscating ALL funds. They say they will not share their calculations. I have over $15k in my account have may have won around $2000 using casino bonuses, but my account is disabled and they refuse to share their calculations with me.

Sounds like you found a glitch in their software to exploit their bonuses, but they should at worst only take back anything you won from the glitch not your entire balance!

The OP was previously in touch with SBR when his account was being reviewed by Bovada's security team. Bovada acknowledged to SBR that the review was taking place and that the security team would contact the player.

We've asked him to send the correspondence with Bovada with this latest update so we can ask for more information.

Update 5/14: Bovada has claimed that the entirety of the player's balance was derived from funds generated by the casino exploit. He is welcomed to file a complaint with the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

The player essentially figured out he could bypass the casino rollover requirement by putting all his funds in poker, though this was in contrast with what was originally submitted to SBR. Whenever players leave out facts or details, it harms our ability to negotiate on their behalf. You are lucky if you get one good crack at mediating before a book decides to simply refer the matter to their gaming licensor, so it is essential to be fully honest with all of the facts from the start. We are trying to determine the amount of profits that were derived from the non-rolled over bonuses.
