    BetOnline 6.5% deposit FEE
Why is this being done? Are they trying to scare away smaller players?

They seem to be the only book doing it. Is it just to trick people into more money? Are they losing that much on book making?

Yes, it is to trick people. Nn, they are not losing at bookmaking. They have the lines people want to bet so they can get away with it and they know it. Plus, everybody deposits with a bonus so they just write it off and don't hold it against them much. You may it once and learn your lesson or you just keep paying it.

bank wires don't seem to have them which makes me think they only want larger players.

No, everybody wants smaller players. They lose all their money. Plus, smaller players don't mind paying the 6.5%. It's just $15 or so for most people and they prefer to pay it and use their card. They give you other options to deposit without the fee but most people don't want those.

They take 2% on those too I believe, been a little over a year since I played there, refuse to pay their 6.5% fee too many good books out there that don't charge that shit.

I just can't see how charging a fee on deposits could possibly be a sensible move from a business perspective. Whoever came up with the idea should be fired. Is there any other book out there that charges a fee on deposits. It's ludicrous.

They charge a fee? Or they don't cover your fee? You have to send in $300 to get your fees covered anywhere. What's the charge?

Not talking about the p2p charge not being covered. It's their own additional fee now, here it is straight off their p2p deposit page:

Person to Person transfers less than $300 carry additional handling fees. Transfers less than $300 will carry a $7 handling fee for online transactions and a $14 handling fee for Call Center transactions.

Well, that's interesting. Looks like they are pushing bitcoin for the small deposits.
