    Interested in Reviewing LocalBitcoin Tutorials?
LocalBitcoins, contrary to what it might sound like, isn't a site about arranging transactions with strangers who live near you. Rather it's a person to person site that has an escrow function built in that makes it decently safe to exchange Bitcoins and cash.

Here are a bunch of tutorials for the site. (Which I myself am just beginning to study in order to use.)

I thought it might be fun to crowdsource some reviews of these. I'm sure that some suck and some are out of date, and hopefully there's a few indispensable ones as well.

So if you want to participate watch one, note your own level of experience, then link to it and give us your review. Obviously guys who already use the site are going to have the advantage of seeing how the tutorial squares with their own experience, but this is also a way to surface the questions that potential users might want to get addressed.

Garbage site. Ninety percent of people on their are scammers and to buy bitcoins from a seller you have too much b.s to prove that you are not a scammer. No thanks. If you want to buy bitcoins go to a prove site like coinbase of circle.

don't drink the koolaid. LBC is fine and offers something coinbase doesn't... anonymity if you want it. don't be a retard. cover your tracks. trade with guys with good feedback and you will be fine. paxful.com is up and coming and you can use if you are in NY i believe. i personally don't use any anymore because I'm in NY and not worth the risk.

I think it is a great site. I deal with 3 traders, not in cash . They give me bank account and i deposit 15 minutes later you have the coins. The sell is just as easy. Just deal with the reputable traders. Why go through all the hassles of coinbase .

I have heard too many stories of people getting ripped off. I tried to buy there a few times and the seller wanted way too much info and pictures and all kinds of stuff just to buy 20 dollars worth of bitcoin. Coin base seems easier. They take it right out of my checking account no problems.

Coinbase is way easier, of course. They also are tracking Bitcoin after it leaves your wallet and making you fill out forms that say what you're using it for.

So in looking at LBC I'm just reading the writing that's on the Coinbase wall.

I'm a big fan of LBC. As previously posted above, deal with reputable traders with 100% feedback and many transactions. Instead of transferring amounts that you are uncomfortable with, break it down to multiple smaller transactions.
