The U.S. government (as well as some states) can and have regulated the purchase of bitcoins from exchanges, etc. None of them can regulate what you do with your bitcoins. That's by design. Even if the government tried to regulate the use of bitcoins, it wouldn't have any effect. To regulate the use, you would have to have some mechanism of enforcement, which is totally nonexistent with respect to bitcoins.
So please, either educate yourself or give up on giving advice to people about something that you acknowledge you are ignorant about.Comment -

#88I believe there are no fees if you link your bank account. That is not available to Australians so I bought via card and from my statement it does not seem like I paid any additional charge. Buying bitcoin from them is pretty much as simple as it could get. There are limits to how much you can initially buy though. I would wait a few weeks and see the feedback others give particularly those using the same card/bank brand as you.Comment -

JJ, you can buy bitcoin from Circle and send it straight to your nitrogen account if you want but I would add a degree of separation from your identity and your Nitrogen account. I would go Circle-->Blockchain.info Wallet--> Nitrogen.Comment -

#96Yeah, I got the exact same message when signing up. But I added a card anyway and was able to buy.

#99Personally I don't sell any bitcoin I acquire so I cannot test this to be sure on Circle but when I go to withdraw funds it gives me my card as the withdraw option and I assume I would be able to. If not I could just send the bitcoin I bought to coinjar and sell it from there so I'm not too bothered.Comment -

I guess right now Circle is best for Americans and for other countries it is still the fastest way to get coins online if you have a card but will be even better once we can deposit via card in our local currencies.Last edited by Domestic; 09-29-14, 07:00 PM.Comment -

#102Yeah, also just noticed something else I should have mentioned. Unless you are using a special card with no foreign currency conversion fee there is no way arround paying the (usually) 3% charge that the bank will issue. I thought that you could deposit with an aud charge but looks like at the moment it is always in USD.

#103Circle looks awesome. I refuse to accept CC's over the phone at my business, Circle may make for a simple enough solution to have them send me BTC instead.Comment -
