Fraudulent crdtcrd charges

I had a twelve dollar international fee before. Assumed it was from the bank.

It may have been. The original charge from the scammer was for $2. This was no doubt an attempt to see which cards were active, in order to charge a much higher amount in the near future.

The bank fee was the international fee, probably only 5 cents because the original $2 amount was so small.

yeah they usually charge small amounts to check the card and then fukk you in the ass.

They didn't even ask questions. I told them the charges were fraudulent, they cancelled them and shredded the card. Got a new one on the way. They acted like they couldn't have cared any less. Which was fine with me.

I go through like 4 cards a year because of fraud. It's annoying.

As bad as the CC companies can be with interest rates, late fees, annoying calls, etc., they are very solid spotting fraud on the cards and halting it. I've had a couple regular cards compromised in the last year and they spotted the bad charges and froze the card instantly. Even if bogus charges slip thru, you're never responsible for them.

don't use cc at all for gambling. cash always back and forth.

Deemer it's been so long since I've deposited there I'm not sure if I even used a card. I just listed the books I have accounts at. If Heritage doesn't take cards, mark them off the list.

Yep. This is the second time this has happened to me. The last time they charged over 1k$$$ in leather Iphone cases. I did all the leg work myself, called the company that the cases were purchased from and got the shipping address where they went. Ironically, it was only a few miles from my house. So I made a house call. Had my 9mm tucked away just in case. It was a bad part of town for sure. Turned out to be some 19 year old girl living with her dad and she had accepted the job off Craigslist. Apparently she got a certain amount of money for each box she accepted. She then repackaged them and shipped them to Russia.

I chose not to press charges because they were living in the biggest dump of a house I'd ever visited. Turning them in would have done nothing but hurt them. She was just trying to make a buck. I'm telling you, this place should have been condemned. The police wouldn't have done shit because it was based in Russia. The CC company covered the loss and I went on my way, with something new learned that day.
