#50Bitcoin has shown to be extremely resilient . Anyone who doesn't see this is missing the big picture. From the Chinese repeated criticisms, the thievery at major web sites, Feds closing down others, the mt gox fiasco, the arrests, bitcoin is still standing at 570 on average. This completely new currency that sold for 20 USD last year is still holding firm at almost 600 despite all these major issues. Critics argue it peaked at 1300 last year but that's just a small part of the story. Is bitcoin volatile? Yes of course on some level it is. But gold in under 2 years 2011-2013 went from 1900 to 1200, volatility happens everywhere in the modern economy.Originally posted by flyingilliniBitcoin was literally a dream come true, I never thought in a million years what happened to me with bitcoin would ever become a reality.

#53jj why not give these guys a break? No need to be so forceful about things. The very nature of a gambler = someone who wants to try to earn cash from very little work. We believe in players/teams even when everyone - including the book - is laughing at us because we live for those aha moments. The guys who are deep into BC's already won't be swayed and will just think of you as a hater or SBR stooge lol. The guys who are thinking about it will question why they have a need to deviate from a regular book at all and most will decide there's no reason to. Anyone who made money from BCs did so because they jumped in early investing in the worth of the actual coin and good on them. But that's very different to sports betting with them. People need to figure out if their situations are so shithouse they can't bet with a bricks and mortar shop ie have committed a charge back, on the run from the popo, mama cut off their credit c's.... That'd be the only reasons to gamble there.Comment -

#55People will make up their own minds. If they get scammed they will regardless of what you say. Normal guys will sit back and wonder what the point is when they have proper books to deal with. Other guys will say those people are stupid for not betting with a Bitcoin book. For me, a book that offers big bonuses is a massive warning sign. For other guys that's the best thing they've ever seen. All depends on how you look at it. But I do know that no one with half a brain cell is sportsbetting with a Betcoin book unless they're on the run or barred due to charge backs, etc. May as well bet with flippin Brock.Originally posted by jjgoldShari man many agree with me, I want to be forceful so players don't get screwed, Bitcoin is very very confusing even buying it is tricky , its not like Neteller or Moneybookers either. #57StakeBTC closed in the middle of the night after scamming a player. Those are the facts. A previous bitcoin sportsbook stole $6700 from a player. As SBR does not rate and review Bitcoin sportsbooks, you would hear more of the player complaints than an in-depth review or position on Bitcoin; we don't seek out these complaints, players come to us with them and want their stories heard by others and help where possible. Use the information to make a decision or not make a decision on where or how you approach betting with Bitcoin shops --- at the end of the day, the information is yours to accept or discard.
Furthermore, no one here is opposed to Bitcoin. If you don't feel the risks associated with Bitcoin sportsbooks outweigh those that come with playing at a sportsbook like a Bet365 or Pinnacle, good for you and we hope it works out well. That's all we're saying, JJGold sideshow aside.Comment -

#59If guys want to play with Bitcoin books let them learn their lesson. You can preach until you're blue in the face... those who think they know better will continue to do it. My point is I've got bigwigs from major Aussie sportsbooks asking why they're not reviewed here when they turn over more cash in a month than all of CR does in a year. That's more important to me... not whether some "company" with a garage as an office and dealing with fake coins as currency will do ok.Comment -

#61bitcoin is the way of the future. there are uncertainties with it, but it is the only option players are left with. these fly by night costa rican books are mostly scamshops. a couple years ago it was a different story but nowadays the only real options players have are:
betonline
topbet
5dimes
heritage got too big sold out their customer service is dog shit and now they are just a book for losers. meanwhile bookmaker charges up the ass for a payout. bitcoin you have the advantage of instant payouts and no fee either. there is no industry watchdog to keep books honest anymore, costa rica is drying up and smart players are moving to BTC
you do have more volatility due to currency fluctuation but if you look at the longterm trend btc is just going up up up. if you bet on sports at breakeven for the past 3 years using bitcoins, your bankroll would have increased by a factor of 100. so if your roll was $1,000 with bitcoin in 2011, and you didnt win ANY MONEY betting on sports that entire time, your roll would be $100,000 by now.
meanwhile if you increased your roll from $1,000 to $100,000 at betislands or betcascade or betowi or alliance sportsbook, your roll would be $0 right now. or if you did it at legends you would have your balance transferred to a mickey mouse scambook slowpaying you with outrageous fees, waiting for the first opportunity to steal from youComment -

#63Would you say bitcoin is a wise investment at its current price, or would you put in a buy order at a specific price? #65Make sure to clarify in your findings and review when u post about this book that closed over nite. Everyone who bets with a bitcoin book that StakeBTC wasn't even a rated or named book. They were on the avoid-warning list, not even worth a rating so u see they were worse than say BetRevolution who closed over nite but still have the site up. I can post the link to the thread they made, post # 2 had a warning label right on it in bold print, so why my educated guess would be that this player who had 46 BTC was playing at his own risk.Originally posted by SBR ForumStakeBTC closed in the middle of the night after scamming a player. #67Its only tricky because u don't know how to figure it out. It is so easy even a caveman like yourself could do it, but really its so damn easy. Get over your pride buy the time u even figure out how to open up a BTC thread I would have made a fortune from what BTC offers me.Originally posted by jjgoldShari man many agree with me, I want to be forceful so players don't get screwed, Bitcoin is very very confusing even buying it is tricky , its not like Neteller or Moneybookers either. This is a fact everyone in this industry should be happy that we have BTC because it makes everything so easy for us, all we need is more solid name books and poker sites to have them and its all systems go for us. No fees on both ends, no middle men moneybookers type wallets trying to slap all these rules about your own money and what to do with it, just do what u want to do like it should be.
But your hearing me say this now if u don't have the stomach for the very very bumpy market you really don't have to be apart of it.Comment -

#70Spot On. These guys in here are so desperate to win the money back that they have dropped (and ALL OF THEM are losers in the long run) that the will fall for any scam that looks attractive to them. These losers have no colue until they get scammed. All of this talk about how much they have won is just B.S. Show me the money? They can't because they do not have it. I will settle for going to Vegas and having my winnings handed to me or placed in my banking accounts in legitimate banks. Just let these fools go on and on. Remember there is one born every minute, and sites like this seem to collect them.Originally posted by 6thtimeAll online books are potential scams.
