Totally new to sports betting and today I made an in-play wager on olympic hockey. It was a 3rd period 3-way puck line and I took Canada -1 @ +135. The score was tied 1-1 at the time and Canada eventually won 2-1 in regulation. How should this had been graded?

#6It wasnt a 3 way line if you were giving a goal. That is simply a puck line and it should've been graded as a push and bet refunded. A 3 way line would have 3 options - Team A/Team B/or draw. And each would have an appropriate ML....just like in soccer

Ive not heard of a "3way puckline" that seems like an oxymoron, as there are only 2 sidesComment

#7I can 100% assure you it's a loss and they graded it correctly. "3 way line" means your selection needs to win outright. On this wager, they offered Canada -1, draw, and Latvia +1. The winner is draw.Originally posted by live4todayTotally new to sports betting and today I made an in-play wager on olympic hockey. It was a 3rd period 3-way puck line and I took Canada -1 @ +135. #8Draw most likely would have been worded something like..."draw (1)"Comment

#9Essentially, it's a 1.5 bet. They only offer it as a "3 way" to give a draw option. I'm guessing you made the bet with about 15 minutes left in the 3rd period. It's about that time that Canada -1.5 was in the range of your bet. Nothing you can do, just make sure you understand what it means next time.Comment

#10canada -1.5 for the 3rd period at +135? seems like an awful price.

he said he bet when it was 1-1. a bet at 2-1 makes way more sense price-wise.Comment

#11It was labeled Draw(Canada -1). Rather confusing since I took Canada -1 and lost even though they outscored Latvia 1-0 in the 3rd period.Comment

#13I agree. It's on me. I thought at worst Canada would outscore Latvia by 1 in the 3rd and would get a push but again I misunderstood the bet. #14Yes it was 1-1 with 18 minutes left in the 3rd. The line seems low but it's because Canada was overall a huge favorite at -3.5 for the game.Originally posted by Kaabeeare your sure you bet when it was tied?Comment

#17Yea its confusing but you should always keep in mind that on ANY 3 way, your bet needs to win outright. On 3 ways there are always the push option.Originally posted by live4todayIt was labeled Draw(Canada -1).
