Seems like they try their best to pay, if they were crooks i guess they would have stopped long time ago to pay. 3 months to pay doesnt sound good but imo they will pay.
Will LasPalmas ever pay?

I've seen email exchanges where only a sentence or two are written, promising another two weeks, stating that they're processing withdrawals in the order received etc. In reality, they're cherry-picking who to pay when based on the balance owed. And that is just the players we know of.Comment -

#75In the past week we have received two complaints of slow-pay for over $50,000 from the LasPalmas Group. Both players had requested payment via bank wire in early to mid March of this year. The sportsbook has turned a cold shoulder to SBR and will communicate only sparingly with players. Players have complained of the sportsbooks unpleasantness when asked for updates on their now long overdue funds.Comment -

#76Why dont you take them off the live lines and put on some better books, there are 30 books on there right now and it would be cool if there were more good books that have MOPS and ARBS, early lines, or some advantage to them instead of books that dont payComment -

#77Las Palmas simply wont pay
Las Palmas has owed me over 33k for 4 months.A while back thet threw me a tiny bone(less than 5% of owed balance)They have since refused to pay even the smallest good faith payment whatsoever , over and over again.Origanally they promised payment in full in 21 days. After that they kept saying "next week",which turned into "next month"which turned into "at least a month".My last e-mail request has yet to be answered in 4 days.If Las Palmas turnes halfway reputable I will post, otherwise beware.Comment -

We treat lines differently since it is a way to view the market. For example, if you start seeing lines 2 points off the average line, that is valuable information for those observing Las Palmas. Sportsbook.com is another book most players should avoid but being so large, the lines are relevant to the overall view of the market.Comment -

It looks like Las Palmas is going to take their delinquent accounts into football season. Hopefully they can put a value on their book and either sell or find help.Comment -

#80The most likely suitor in the event of a Las Palmas buy out would be Bookmaker.
Bill, I would like to thank you and Crazy Lou once again for assisting me a few months back regarding my withdrawal from EhorseX. It appears I was the last large withdrawal processed.
While I still have about $15,000 left in my EhorseX account which appears in some jeopardy, I would be feeling a whole lot worse right now if I didn't get that withdrawal processed and I have the feeling I wouldn't have gotten it without your help.Comment -

#81You know that's a perfectly servicable exchange they have got going there in terms of software and offerings to horseplayers.
They may be deep in debt but the one thing that could literally catapult them out of it is to somehow engage with the American horseplayers who are too busy fashioning losing exotic tickets to realise an exchange is a far better way to bet.
That said it now looks terrible that Horizon 20 have not run the exchange as a trouble free entity as it would have been if they were not dipping into exchange customer deposits. There is no excuse slow paying anyone, but least of all an exchange customer.Comment -

#82Laconic, while I can't say for certain, I have the feeling they are seeding their own markets on their exchange.
They are the only outlet that offers exchange style (fixed odds) betting on horseracing but the betting volumes are pretty anemic.
There was rumors about them partnering up with Bookmaker/BetCris to tap into their huge customer base but it never materialized.Comment -

#85I feel NO PITY for those that lose money with these not too reputable books.
We, as a global gambling community need to support ONLY THE BOOKS THAT HAVE PROVEN themselves over the years.
Otherwise, we are only contributing to spawning of more of these shady books.
So, STOP getting enticed by the sign up bonuses and go with the good books.
My books- Matchbook, 5Dimes, Bet Jamaica, Pinnacle( non USA). Never failed to get any payouts in 7+ years.
Come on, support only the books that have been supporting us in the past!Comment -

#86Jebe: It was just a year ago that LP was a B rated Book-- not an A Book but still a solid rating. They were also an SBR sponsor and still remain featured on SBR Odds today. I finally was paid off by them, so I no longer have a financial interest in this issue. However, I do feel sorry for the people still owed $$$ by this once well regarded Book. Blaming the LP victims is a bit harsh IMO.

#89I used to play at Bet Las Palmas. They always paid quickly, and were respected at the time so this was by no means a shady book that people took a chance on. Unfortunately their capital ran dry and are now running on fumes. I left them because Pinnacle offered better lines. I feel fortunate.Comment -

#90apart from the fact your appeal to all of us to not use shady books is clearly posted in the wrong topic, as las palmas was always a respected book, you clearly don't understand the importance of having as many outs as possible. it can be worth playing at shady books if you do your homework and know the risk/reward ratio. very few people will be able to make any money long term while betting only with the books you just mentioned.Comment -

I assume they're waiting for football deposits.
LasPalmas offers the only betting exchange (ehorsex.com) for U.S. players, which is why so many of us wound up with accounts there.Comment -

#101Chuck,
Its amazing how different your outlook is when comparing Las Palmas to WSEX.
While Las Palmas is clearly in a far more dire situation, both sites are massively slow-paying and yet you defend WSEX to the very end and then come up with the ridiculous statement that Las Palmas is matching the bets with imaginary funds.
While its certainly possible they are indeed "seeding" their own markets, I get the feeling you're just making things up as you go along.Comment -
