Doesn't SBR have a policy in place which excludes books from reaching "A" status until they've withstood the test of time? I believe they do and they don't deviate from it. Betislands wasn't very long in the tooth. Due to their newbieness it's unlikely they were ever rated higher than the "B" classification. Someone prove me wrong and I'll happily eat crow.

This post isn't an endorsement of the SBR rating system, nor is it intended to excuse SBR in the BI fiasco. Just sayin'...........

I would give this book a B+ rating, I consider them top-notch book for recreational players.
Way better than GTbets, Wagerweb, and all the second tier books.

Pinnacle, 5dimes, Youwager, Heritage, Bookmaker are the industry top dogs.

Can you tell me how that relates to BetIslands? They had sharps there with 45-150k balances. They were getting crushed by the sharps and weren't doing anything about it. I'm not saying 1 slice is 5 dimes/Bookmaker but they aren't trying to be. Comparing them to BI is foolish. An empty comment really.

yes, it is...most all the customers are from the forums... do they even have a linesman??? who do they clone lines from?? do you know anything about the book at all?? its very similarly run like bi was... the difference is that griffin and others have a vested interested in the business, so they throw out anyone with a clue

Listen guy, I'm not trying to tell you they're the end all of books. I'm trying to explain to you that they've been around for awhile now and where are the payout complaints? They limit and boot players. Griffin has a vested interest? Of course he does as Tony does with 5 dimes. Allowing sharps to roast a book month over month kills it. Not sure why 1 slice trying to be a rec book bothers everyone so much.

i think you just arent understanding me... there is a big difference in being a group of bookies and being a sportsbook... this group runs their business like BI did ( minus giving sharps credit acct.s under the table) ... griffin seems to be a nice guy and good with people... but the bottom line is they are a small forum based business and are really no different than your local who has a pph... and that doesnt deserve much of a rating... if someone has info they are run differently, do tell and ill reevaluate... as it stands, you shouldnt trust an operation like this with much money...
