#6Hi sbrzol,
Thanks for letting us know.
We are investigating the issue you have reported now but we would recommend that you use either IE9, IE10 or the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome and Safari to get the maximum benefit from the new Matchbook website.
Thanks

#10Not working at all for me. All I get is a blue screen with what appear to be some bright white lights and that's it. I've sent an e-mail into them with no response so far. Can you provide a toll free number of some kind to speak with a live person. I'm using IE 8.Comment -

#12Hi Statman,
Sorry to hear about the difficulties you're having.
We're aware of an issue with IE8 and it's being worked on at the moment.
Do you have access to a different browser - we would recommend that you use either IE9, IE10 or the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome and Safari to get the maximum benefit from the new Matchbook website.

Unfortunately no. Is there an option that one does not have to use the new site and continue to use the old site instead?Comment -

#14Hi Statman,
You can access the old version of the site at classic.matchbook.com
This will continue to be supported for a number of weeks, while customers get familiar with the new website.
Thanks,

#18Prefer the classic Matchbook design..works much better on mobile also. The background images cause the site to lag. Would be better with plain white background. Is it possible for Matchbook to keep the classic look around forever?

#19I want to start by saying that I really do appreciate the effort that the developers have gone through. I work in the (IT\software dev) industry myself and I know this must have been a huge project. I really like Matchbook - hassle free, friendly staff, no issues with payments and GREAT lines.
1) I wish it would save my credentials. It's annoying having to type them in every time and ultimately will lead to people choosing weaker passwords.
2) There is no reason it needs access to GPS at all times. This isn't preventing anybody from placing wagers from the USA. It also forces me to leave GPS on at all times which can cause issues if for some reason a location can't be obtained.
3) What is going on with the colour scheme? light blue on grey is not easy on the eyes.
Now I realize you are looking for feedback on the new site. Quite honestly, it is extremely mobile unfriendly, but the intention seems to be for everybody to use the app on mobile.... which also needs work. Pretty much anyone who wishes to lock in wagers on their phone has been done a disservice.
Feedback on the new site:
1) Performance is worse compared to the old site (even on desktop). Loading times are longer. I realize it is more complex and has high-res images but this is pretty unnecessary. Performance > *
2) The back\lay system should just automatically be set to binary for sports with two outcomes. I realize you can change this in settings for all sports, but what if I want to keep it like this for soccer and use the binary system for MLB?
3) The ability to lock in multiple bets at a time is nice.
4) WHERE DO YOU MAKE A WITHDRAWAL? I do not see this under 'Account' ANYWHERE. Big negative - makes it feel sketchy but I know Matchbook is reputable and this must be an oversight.
5) Under 'display preferences' if I change the setting from back\lay to 'binary' and click 'update' it just says 'Error.' (my account name is r3coil - feel free to take a look if this is specific to me).
6) I want you to take a look at a few websites: www.pinnaclesports.com , forum.sbrforum.com , www.facebook.com , www.sportsinteraction.com , classic.matchbook.com and now look at www.matchbook.com . Notice how the first 5 sites have the content centered in the very middle with nothing on either side (it's 'centered')? Now look at the redesigned Matchbook. The content takes up the entire page. I'm on a 1920 * 1080 resolution monitor (which will more orless become the standard, definitely moving that way) and my first impression is that I don't know where to look. The website looks like it was built for a monitor with a 4:3 resolution and not the current widescreen monitors of today. You actually have to move your head from side to side to see all the content when you should ALWAYS ONLY have to move your eyes.
Edit:Pinning the Betslip actually corrects this issue quite a bit which is probably what you were going for. Definitely recommend that everybody does this.
I'll give more feedback here as I think of it. The efforts are appreciated but I really prefer the classic website and will be using it for as long as possible. The loading times were much faster and it was easily accessible on mobile.Last edited by r3coil_; 06-18-13, 01:31 AM.Comment -

#20Oh no.. you can only set a 'stake' amount in the app and not a 'profit' amount. You have to manually calculate what you need to stake in order to 'profit' your unit size.
Guys, the mobile app is not a substitute for the classic website. I really hope you reconsider shutting down Matchbook classic until the app is reworked.Comment -

Withdrawals are now available on the new site. Sorry for the delay, there was an issue with them.
We have had a lot of feedback, both positive and negative, on the background images, and all feedback has been passed to our development team to consider for the next release.
Unfortunately, the classic look won't be around forever, but we will keep it available for as long as possible to make the transition easier on customers.
Thanks - let us know if there's anything else.

#22Hi Mike,
Honestly I love matchbook. I would play on the site but the methods for withdrawl are brutal. I live in Canada and if I used skrill as a withdraw method I get absolutely abused with the fees they charge. why can you not credit back to a DC or even make bank transfers for any amount over $250 or something like that? Also maybe one free withdraw per calender month Or use ***************, electronic transfers or something. Access to a players funds are paramount and people should be able to withdraw money without the crazy charges by the book or the third party.Comment -

#25For me, I keep it in there, I rarely withdraw to my bank acct. But when I do, some go nicely, just the foreign exchange rate which is not bad for USD. And some go badly, if they send me a wire, my bank charges me $15 service charge extra and it doesn't matter how much little you withdrew. So you probably do not want what you asked for in your previous post. You might want to look at I n sta deXXX. The ones I have done to my bank acct have always been just the fx rate. I use Scot .. for my bank.
If you want a pretty seemless interaction with sportsbook and bank for Cdn, I recommend you also get an account at SIA if you don't have one already. Withdrawels and deposits from cdn bank is smooth and you get one free withdrawel to your bank per month. Matchbook and sia is actually a really good combo for finding amazing lines.Last edited by goombah; 06-18-13, 03:35 PM.Comment -

This is my problem too. I would say I lock in 80% of my wagers on my phone, and the Matchbook app needs A LOT of work.

Thanks for the detailed feedback.
Unfortunately, the need for the GPS to be on at all times, is not a restriction we impose. Also, your previously used usernames should be available to select any time you try to login?
The good news is that we are planning on building a completely new version in the near future so this one won't be around forever.
New site
1) We have identified a number of speed and performance improvements already and will be rolling these out in the coming days/weeks
2) I'll pass this to our product team for consideration in later versions.
3) Thanks, we like this feature too!
4) Withdrawals are now available on the new site, we had been working on an issue with them
5) Can you confirm that this is still an issue for you, we can't seem to replicate here?
6) Looking at this another way - for the majority of these sites you will see the same number of betting options on your larger screen, as you would see on a smaller screen. To explain our reasoning, the way we approached the new design was to maximise the screen space available to the user so they could see as many markets as possible. The ability to unpin both the betslip and the betting navigation, if you wish, again allows for more betting options to be displayed.
Thanks again, let us know if you have anything else.

First you need an university degree to understand how betfairs commission system works. And thats just to find out it is quite a lot they take from you. On top of that I would have to pay 5% taxes on every turnover. As far as I am concerned that are some big arguements I prefere matchbook.Comment -

Matchbook DESTROYS Betfair and it isn't close. Betfair rapes you with commission fees. Matchbook is great for all US sports. Liquidity is awesome for most major sports such as MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL etc...of course other books may be better for certain things (and that's why you need more than one out) but I place 80% of my straight wagers on Matchbook. Anyone who has access to Matchbook is costing themselves tons of money by not adding it as an out.Comment
