Forget about the Inet casino, I am not safe at a sit down one...
Was frickn playing black jack by myself for an hour at a table downtown. Talking to the dealer, he has been dealing for 8 years and he had basically stopped even asking if I wanted to hit or not on most hands and would just deal through since I had been basically playing perfect. Guy walks up eyeing the table with real bad colored grey hair. I look at the dealer and he looks at me. I am sure I had an oh shit look. Guy buys in and gets a pair sixes on his first hand with the dealer showing a 4. He frickn splits them and pulls two tens, I sit on 18 and the dealer draws another 7 having a ten on the bottom. What the frick... I played 2 more hands and had to leave with the dealer just shaking his head at this guy. At least I literally broke even when I left...

No it didn't work... was just pissed that he sucked all the break cards for the dealer up. Has always worked better if players stay when dealers have 3, 4, 5, 6 showing and you have a possible break hand let alone splitting sixes... from what I have seen and experienced. What can I say, you play for an hour and stay about even and a guy sits down and brings the hammer with him. Some guys are just not good luck to play around...

Was a vent thread and I admit not a great one, oh well. Last year a guy sat down and cooled our table so fast I paid him to stop playing and leave... he took the money and stopped playing. The rest of us were all very happy when he left.

You do know the shoe is not in some kind of pre determined order and he could have just as easily taken all small cards. His play does not affect your chances of winning at all! If you don't get this don't play blackjack.

Actually... I was on the back end of the shoe and had not seen many face cards so knew theoretically there should of been more coming in the sequencing. Black Jack is not always about playing book strategy... it is also about paying attention to what has been coming out on the front end of the shoe so you can maximize your play on the backend. It is a minor form of card counting... but hey, no big deal. I am over it, maybe I just like playing by myself. I can get more hands in between shuffles and work the sequencing how I want.
