Perfect example of why I can't stand dealing with customer service reps at books
Before I begin let me state I was the one who made the wager in error.

So I am making a bunch of wagers based off of (IF-WIN) type plays. I made 3 different wagers doing this.. On the third play I accidentally did what every bettor fears.. Instead of clicking the little circle I simply made an error and instead of risking the previous wagers money (IF IT WINS) I made a new bet for the risked amount.

So I hop on CS chat right away and ask if it can be removed so I can make it into a (IF-WIN) type wager like the last 3.. 3 seconds later I am told they can't help me because the line has moved. (It was a play which doesn't get a lot of action so I moved the line with my wager). Instead of reviewing it I get a simple "no it just changed on the site generally"..

It's my fault and nobody else to blame...but the reasoning skills make you do this

After probably 3000 wagers I make one error and it's like pulling teeth.
Let's hope it wins so I can celebrate x2.

I hope it works out for you, i know the uk books , when i do horse racing only let u change the type of bet e.g from a win to each way , but not cancel bets , or sometimes you get one free cancel in the lifetime of your account. with something like has happened to you

In all fairness the CS rep isn't necessarily to know that your bet is what moved the price, but sounds like she maybe could have done a better job of actually checking with the line managers whether the bet could be adjusted or not.

          play lost.
The point of the thread wasn't about winning or losing. I made the error.
It's just maddening when you contact them LITERALLY 5 seconds later and you can't get any real assistance.

It would have taken someone 30 seconds to see exactly what happened and rectify it...instead they give you an answer that doesn't even make sense. I always treat everyone with respect no matter what so I just laughed it off in the conversation with the rep..

It was completely my fault...but god bless you when you ask for a little assistance.

I was contacted today by someone from the book who had no clue about this thread. During their review of wager cancellation requests mine came up. They awarded me a free play (which I did not ask for) for the amount of my wager for the confusion.

You can't ask for more than that. I just hope in the future for other plays sake the CSR asks for help in this type of situation.

What book was it? Nice customer service. Most books wouldn't have done anything for you imo.

If you placed this wager online most places wont change it at all. I make sure and double triple check before i confirm the wager.
