betway refusing to honour superbowl freebet

betway had an offer of a £50 inplay freebet on the superbowl last night. have a £50 pre game bet and at half time the free inplay bet should have been credited. i couldnt even log in at half time and by the time i did manage to get into my account the freebet was there but was locked and could not be placed on anything. it wasnt just me, the social media sites are full of disgruntled punters who either couldnt log in at all or couldnt place the bet due to it being locked. i messaged them today explaining exactly what occurred and recieved a generic response from customer service which absolves them of any blame and says there will be no refunds of unused freebets. if you either cant log in or the credited freebet is locked im not exactly sure how your supposed to use it. this is a shocking way to treat customers.

The same thing happened to me: I participated in the Superbowl Free Bet Promotion. After the bonus was credited at half-time, it was locked so that it could not be used. I contacted customer support and was told that per the T&C, I forfeited the bonus because I did not use it in-play. I emailed them back that they failed to honor their bonus because it was impossible to use in-play.

I will escalate this, but it is a pain for a lousy £50 free bet.

I never got a refund, and some people have tweeted that that also didn't.

Betway had an awful reputation, it seemed like they had made an effort to improve but this is not the case, behind all the tv ads & darts sponsorship is a company that can not be trusted and I would advise anyone not to bet here as they are at best very shady, at worst corrupt & down right dishonest.

LIARS! In a brazen attempt to appear honest, they have tweeted that all customers who placed a Superbowl bet have now had the freebet added to their accounts........which they know to be completely untrue.

I was another that was unable to place the Superbowl live free bet as first it was locked, then the account could not be logged into until the game had finished, the free bet which had to be used live during the game then appeared at the end of the game, I assumed it was maybe a system glitch so I tried using it on the Man City v Chelsea game later that day which was accepted, however knowing how untrustworthy they have been in previous years I half expected them to cancel/void it, which they did later but never bothered to inform me.

Livechat told me their promotions dept have decided not to give the free bets as they had to be used in play (we know that you numpties!) but how could we use it if your system was locking us out.

So they have basically said to punters they ripped off (again) tough shit, we could not give a toss. I also avoided this lot for years, and will be doing so again.

I would advise people to NEVER trust Betway they truly are still the same liars & thieves and are as bad as ever.

Ye , same here , ive just finished the dispute form to the regulator , Ecogra, the URL is http://betway.com/#betting , the more complaints the better , kin chancers

Potential new customers should read this thread. Avoid at any cost, don't be tempted by some bonus or similar.

That book is a big scam, i read so many testimonies of customers that were confiscated funds in Betway for the last years... to avoid absolutely...

They are the most dishonest people I've ever faced in betting, not only did they void some bets of mine (around 2600 in earnings) saying that I placed them when the events were not eligible for live betting. It's funny because I have all the screens and I posted the bets hours before the event started. After that, I was left with what I had previously from other bets, and once I tried to withdraw the funds, they confiscated them, stating that I broke rule 4 and tried to snatch 900GBP on a late bet! So basically they took everything I won and also my deposits, which is surreal!
Too bad that they don't have any representation in Portugal, I'd love to have a 'meeting' with the board...

Did you fill a dispute form? I tried their site but there was no option for betway sportsbook, only casino...

Ye , go to Ecogra on google , disputes then fill in the form, u need to put the url address on the form to the regulator
