New low in sportsbook CS. BetDSI doesn't know difference between AM and PM.
The stupidity of this is just mesmerizing.

I'm invited into a bunch of bracket contests at Diamond. The deadlines are posted as 12PM on 3/21. I log in to make my picks at 1:50 AM eastern. My picks are blocked. Reason being: according to BetDSI customer service, 12PM is midnight. Yes, BetDSI doesn't know the difference between AM and PM. I asked the chat rep to check with her supervisor, and her supervisor confirmed for her that PM is morning and AM is evening, therefore I can't enter the contests. I'm not making this up. Here's the (edited) chatlog.

Me: Hi Natalia, I'm trying to enter my picks for the bracket contest, which closes at 12PM tomorrow, but when I try to enter my picks I get a message that says the deadline for making picks has already passed.
Natalia: it is already the 21st
Me: Pick Deadline: Thu, 03-21-2013 12:00:00 PM Eastern
Me: The above line is quoted from the contest page.
Natalia: yes it is already past 12 eastern
Me: It is now 1:50 AM eastern
    Me: the page says PM
Me: According to the rules there are still over 10 hours left to make picks.
Natalia: it is a typo from the site
    Natalia: 12:00 pm at midnight
    Me: Midnight is 12AM
    Me: umm... AM is morning
    Natalia: 12:00am refers to midday
Me: are you sure that a mistake wasn't made in locking the picks. Other contests (like the yahoo one) have the deadlines at 12PM.
Me: Okay, I'm not sure if you're just screwing with me.
Me: AM is the morning, PM is the evening
Natalia: I am not, I have check with my supervisor
Me: Copied and pasted from wikipedia: Clock system 12-hour 24-hour midnight (start of day) 12:00 a.m.* 00:00
Natalia: and the contest closed at 12 midnight eastern
Me: Is your supervisor in now?
    Natalia: yes
Me: Please check. i would appreciate it very much because I think the contests may have been closed early in error.
    Natalia: let me check again
    Me: tyvm
Natalia: I have check with my supervisor again and the contest is already close, since 12 midnight eastern
Me: ok, i'm not going to flip out about this. but in the future it will be helpful to your customers if BetDSI understands the difference between AM and PM. With the rules posted as 12PM, it sucks for you customers to attempt to make picks long before the deadline, only to find out that an error on the book's behalf is shutting the customer out of the contest.
Natalia: May I assist you with anything else?
Me: I don't think so... at the moment I'm just sitting here dumbfounded.
    Me: Have a pleasant evening.

That's pathetic. Their CS is going downhill I've come to realize.

Which contests? Their main one (bracket madness 2013) still has 9 hours to go.

Yes, but that's 9 hours in "reality." In the BetDSI universe 12PM = midnight.

I just went and checked. I can still complete and submit a bracket in their $10 buy in contest, which is the freebies they are giving away with their DSIMADNESS2013 promo.

As for the free contests I do not know.

I'm referring to the free one. Thanks for checking though. I get so many offers for free bracket contests that I don't have any interest in betting actual money on them. I bet $ on the individual games.

I only deposit at DSI for March Madness so I get the 3 free brackets in that contest (winner gets 10K cash) and they pay like thousands of spots something (betpoints for the late ones but still), and the 100% freeplay, and deposit at the start of football season for the 100% FP then too.

Still a massive error on their part, can't believe they didn't at least acknowledge their mistake.

I do think they lie about talking to supervisors though. Because one time I told them about a bad line (alternate lines they were offering UNC +7.5 +200 and also UNC +3.5 -150), and the rep said she talked to the lines department and they said both were accurate. About 15 minutes later they made the change after I called cause I wanted to bet what the line should have actually been at.

That's what tto827 was posting about earlier in the thread. I'm referring to a different bracket contest that I was invited into.

I suppose "all is well that ends well." I just logged into DSI and made my picks no problem. I'm not sure it makes the book look any less inept, though.

Two days tops via that piece of paper in the mail or P2P in my experience.

If you don't mind no reduced juice, DSI is rock solid A+++++.

In a lot of countries, 12 am refers to midday. I remember I had a business meeting once in Vegas with some Swedish people and they told me to meet at 12 am. I thought they meant midnight (hey it's Vegas). So they were like 'where were you' when I didn't show up at noon.

Cultural differences I suppose. But in this case, since DSI is servicing Americans mainly, they should know better.
