Well I blame bet island I guess.

I have a financial advisor, and guess what, I've had a stock tank before..

Didn't get sh!t back from said company.

My portfolio took a hit no doubt. For the one bad call my advisor gave me he had 18 fukken funds that hit.

So I guess, yes, SBR did advise advise that bet island was a good book just like an advisor. But I wouldn't give SBR over 10% of te blame pal.

How the fukk are people this blind in real world business???

Of course BI is more at fault. I do not think SBR intentionally gave a fraud book a strong rating. However BI did give SBR tons of money through various income streams which did affect SBR's publicly stated opinions of BI.

The bettors who got screwed whether they were sharp, square, or in between are angry at SBR because without SBR propping up BI there would have been zero chance BI would have gotten their money. BI road on the coattails of SBR's credibility and the people who trusted SBR got hurt by it. Without the backing of SBR 90% of the posters here ( if not more) do not send a dime to BI.

I see you are an SBR pro, attended the SBR bash, and have even been poster of the month. You are a supporter of SBR and I don't blame you, it seems like a real cool site. However these people really really got hurt and I do not blame them for being majorly stressed and angry.

Plus what the heck are people doing having thousands upon thousands of dollars in BetIslands to begin with I mean unless they where working off a rollover and just kept winning, but really you should never keep that much in an offshore book to begin with, not rocket science...

I agree 100% Big, I also believe they would give back the money they made off BI to get this nightmare to vanish. I do not know for sure but that is just my opinion. As far as the ratings it does sting for SBR but this issue will die. Many books have screwed players before and the business is still going strong. Even on SBR the issue is losing steam, what can these people do? To get their money? Nothing. Although If I was one of them I would want all of Jon's info and would go after him every legal way I could. Not just for money, but to make his professional life difficult. I am surprised that is not what is taking place.

I see very few BI threads nowadays. But even if someone posts a thread, who cares? Dont open it. It is not like there are six up there cluttering up the forum. Some of these guys like bubba lost 50 grand, and were trying all the time to withdraw withdraw withdraw. BI was stalling and screwing them.

I know it's "play at your own risk " offshore nowadays. But the truth is unless you live in nevada "play at your own risk" is the rule anywhere in the USA. Because of our stupid govt its either offshore or bookies unless we want to pass altogether.

You guys are all entitled to your opinions and I respect them all. I just don't mind these guys venting, its also a good warning to newbies to be careful

It was no secret that SBR took ad money from BI so if you have any business sense, you had to take their endorsement of BI with a grain of salt. Any offshore can blow up on any given day. It is silly to put the blame on SBR. I am sure SBR would have preferred that BI live on so they would continue to cash their checks and wouldn't be saddled with bad PR.
