how do books handle co-mvp situation?
i placed an nfl mvp bet a while ago.

there were about 10 options of players to choose. I can't remember if there was a field bet or not. There definitely wasn't a co-mvp bet.

i'm hearing rumblings that peyton/ap may both win the award and be co-mvps. how should my bet be handled?

customer service told me half my bet would lose, and the other half of my bet would win. this seems absurd.

Odds are always cut in half in in case of co mvp.

Depends on the book. In the UK, Australia etc. bets are normally treated as if they were a dead-heat in a horse race. If you bet $1000 at +400, $500 would be a winner at +400, $500 a loser at +400, so you'd receive 500 + 2000 = $2500, with a total outlay of $1000 and thus $1500 profit.

how is that absurd? how else would you expect them to pay it? pay full odds on two different players and lose money?

will be a shame if Peterson doesn't win it. Look at the Broncos strength of schedule compared to the Vikings. Peterson single handedly carried the offense while Tebow led the Broncos to the playoffs last year in that mediocre division.
