#37That wouldnt be the worst resolution in the world for me..on that list i have over $1500 in deposits, its not the $6,521 i want but better than nothing..but others deposited their money earlier in the year and didnt want to hear anything about this possibility..hopefully we will know something in the next few days or so.Comment -

#38lolzz... btimb, people everywhere would have deposited at bi with all the shit they were giving away...apparently, you dont visit those places enough to see the books that are pimped...
sbr wouldnt pay back the entire amount that people deposited anyways...only what their cut was (im purely guessing at 20%ish...but you get the idea) and like i said, i dunno how you can hold them liable for anything before bi made its last payout...getting money from november, i would say no chance....but i hope you guys get every damn dime somehow...Comment -

#40What impression do you get so far? One of SBR trying to duck responsibility or owning up? So far, all they have done is try to blame it on players. Hey, players were happy with the offers by the book. But the players weren't in CR to validate the financial security of the book. That was SBR's role. But they have already tried to shift that back to the players. On top of that, to make matters worse, they knew that things weren't right and failed to inform us. Again, apart from Justin, not a sound from SBR about this. It's absolutely disgusting.Comment -

#41Don't get talked into one thread about this, in the name of 'Shari just trying to help'. lol All it is is damage control by SBR. Can you imagine what will happen next week when we are informed that the four or five books meeting didn't produce a thing? The focus will shift fully to SBR's role. One thread? For real? Beyond belief.Last edited by Dark Horse; 01-06-13, 12:13 AM.Comment -

#42Bet Islands rip off one thread debate from a newbies perspective
I am new to SBR as i previously mentioned I only heard of BI screw job because a friend loss an insignificant amount of $$ ( under 1000) and mentioned it in passing at a christmas party. I googled one day and found this site. I bet with a local not offshore. Personally I think multiple threads is the way to go. One giant thread is not going to be more effective, just because a thread has 2000 views that will not make it more noticeable to me. However when I see four or five different people making threads and I skim through them I see what is going on and how egregious the behavior of BI and its reps actually was.
In respect to the argument that multiple threads will dilute the information stream when someone from SBR management or elsewhere has new and useful information, that is LOL funny. Every scrap of info the BI customers gets, fact or speculation, is discussed at length in several threads. Anyone who misses an update is not paying attention at all and does not have any real money tied up in this disaster.
Let me make one other point it is obvious there are some shills in these threads who are trying to minimize damage and send out misinformation. If there was only one thread I am worried part of their new strategy would be to clutter the forum with other threads with unrelated topics in an effort to continually drop down the BI thread and/or keep so many threads up that people not directly involved will not know what took place and how serious this issue is to a significant number of bettors.
To me the answer is absolutely multiple threads. Again I hope you all get a bail out.Comment -

#45I wouldn't expect SBR to understand or appreciate the concept of news updates, but that's how people stay informed. This is not about one player getting stiffed, so the one thread strategy is a pathetic attempt at damage control. Players adding on the pressure is a good thing. Credit where credit is due. SBR has become rather good at diluting a single thread, when they don't like where it's heading, mostly with pointless oneliners by their minions.Comment -

#49People have every right to be angry about this, SBR shouldn't consolidate the threads or they'll look even worse. Now I'm curious what's being said on other sportsbetting forums about SBR's behavior...gonna go check brb!Comment
