Justin pointed out a free 1/2 point on and off 7 was unsustainable
Stuck in my head when I read his post pointing out how a book would get destroyed giving a free 1/2 into and out of 7.
That coupled with reduced juice was a gold brick.

Did anyone else notice this as 'strangely enticing' to milk deposits?

Guess he was more right than I thought at the time.

    Check out that thread.

    Post # 36 Justin7 says:

This offer is excessive. Allowing it on such high limits is just painting a bullseye for the sharps.

Everything I have heard about BetIslands has been good. This offer is the first negative thing I have heard of them.

Post #107 SBR Lou chimes in:

It's an attractive bonus offer, period. All books that deal -110 will dangle the carrot with unique bonuses; BetIslands has verified their backing to SBR, their rating upgrades can partly be attributed to their financial security.

This is what always happens. Justin shows he knows what he is talking about and that he is willing to criticize a sponsor book. Then the higher ups tell him to shut the penetrate up and he does. He needs to resign from SBR if he hopes to retain any credibility in the gambling world.

Beating a book by a point is more than a 3% edge against the book. Dumb to think its sustainable, giving +.5 on both sides, they basically were offering +100 or better on a standard ATS wager. Someone with Justin's knowledge can give the exact numbers, but even I am smart enough to know that they couldn't survive on vig offering that.

Yes, the promo amounted to this... "Hey, you ever wanted to be a bookie? You can be OUR bookie! We will make bets with you where WE pay the vig!"

Silly business model for a Bookmaker... not so bad if intent was to scam from day 1 though.

Amazing to reread these threads and see how ostracized those were who pointed out that the emperor appeared to be naked.
