    Betdaq Important service announcement
As a valued member of BETDAQ, we are writing to inform you of upcoming changes to the terms and conditions of our service provision. Your use of the BETDAQ website and your experience of the products and services we provide should not change in any way as a result of these changes.

As set out in our current terms and conditions the BETDAQ exchange services comprising the betting exchange, multiples and 1Bet are made available to you by Global Betting Exchange, an Irish company, licensed by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), while the games products are made available by Global Betting Exchange Alderney Limited (GBEA Ltd), licensed by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC).

We are writing to inform you that as of December 3rd all of the services provided on the BETDAQ website will be made available by GBEA Ltd and will be entirely governed by the AGCC. Here is a link to their website. We are making this change as part of an exercise to bring all the websites, products and services we provide under a single structure.

The terms and conditions relating to the services we provide from December 3rd can be found here. Your continued use of the BETDAQ website from that date is conditional on accepting these terms and conditions and by continuing to use the BETDAQ website and services from December 3rd you will be deemed to have accepted these new terms and conditions.

I liked the fact that the exchange was licensed by the Uk Gambling Commission. I don't what to make of this move yet.

Nothing to make of it, other than they are now making enough money to have found it feasible to fukk the UK government off and set up in the tax haven of Alderney. Great move for them financially and makes zero difference to you.

The law of England and Wales recognises a bet as a contract, so remedy is ultimately available through the courts if necessary, and much of this can be handled online for a small claim.

Alderney is still back in the days of bets being 'gentleman's agreements' and not legally enforceable. Even if they were, it lacks proper unfair contract terms law.

            great info JayZ

            thanks!

I had a bad feeling with this move in the first place, but you just confirmed my suspicions. Now they can get away with a lot more if they choose to. Hopefully the won't, but I still wish they wouldn't have done the move. It felt a lot more safer before.

Of course if the wind keeps blowing the way it is, in a year or two for people in the UK they will all need to take out a UK licence once more.
